How is everybody doing with their personal challenges?
I am doing good. The second week I only had 2 days with 11,000 steps. But, the other two weeks I have surpassed the 3 days of 11,000 steps. So, I am meeting my challenge.

Increase treadmill to at least 30 minutes at least once a day at least 3 days a week this month.

Average daily steps is 14479. Miles for month over 224. I consider this challenge as a success!! emoticon

I'll set a goal of 12K 4 days a week and at least 10K on the other days.

I challenge myself to continue drinking 8 glasses of water a day and at least 5 servings of veggies/fruit. I also take the plunge and will try to walk at least 10,000 steps 5 days a week.

At this time I want to just sustain what I have started, drinking 8+ glasses of water a day, exercising usually by doing yard work and eating 6+ servings of vegetables and fruit.

This week I am going to one of the local banks to count money for the local International Reading Association Read-A-Thon that promotes reading and pays for trips to the international convention as well as our monthly meetings here on the island of Guam. We also get books into the hands of the students all the way from pre-school through high school.

My challenge is to do cardio at least three times this week for at least 30 minutes. I haven't managed that in quite awhile. I'll be pleased with myself if I manage just this! emoticon

emoticon I did it!! Last week I was on the treadmill twice for 30 minutes and managed a 30 minute video as well as hiking for 45 minutes in a canyon. Now if I can only get the eating under control I should start to see some results...something to work on!

Our fitness challenge for March is to increase our daily steps. How many steps do you take each day? If you wear a pedometer, use it to help you increase your step each day. If you don't wear a pedometer, every 15 minutes of cardio equals 2000 steps. How many steps per day will you set your sights on? If you prefer you can set your goal to increase your cardio.

For instance, I will challenge myself with steps. I wear a pedometer and I challenge myself to take 11,000 steps 3 days per week and continue shooting for a minimum of 10,000 the other days, as I have been doing for several months.

Can you take 100 more steps each day? More? Or, can you do 15 minutes of cardio more then normal? What will be your challenge?
