Sorry - - just barely catching up with all my SparkMails!

I did pretty well with the February challenge - - all except the 8 glasses of 8-oz of water.
emoticon That is still a huge challenge for me to absorb that much water but for health's sake, I'm not quitting. I'll keep on trying day in & day out.
Eventually it will become 'second nature' to me.

What can I/we do to help you with the 'blahs'? You didn't select dumb challenges by any means. The ones you are doing are ones we should all be in the habit of doing each day. Looking at what you have reported you seem to be doing pretty good with it.

Anybody have any ideas as to what you would like to do for a team challenge in March? Nutrition related? Fitness related? Both? Throw what ever ideas you may have out there.

Well, I'm tracking it and trying to do it on a daily basis but looking back at the results...and doing this process for some reason is leaving me real "blah" about the whole thing.

Maybe I just selected some dumb personal challenges??
HELP!
I'm starting to drown in the "blahs" with this monthly personal challenge. Soon, I won't even be posting anymore about it.
SORRY..... really, really am.

How is everybody doing with their personal challenges this month?

I have met my strength challenge each week, so far. I am on the right path, I think, to meet my cardio minutes challenge. The last week of the month I will need to have 1.25 hours cardio each day (average). I should make it.

Continue to increase the minutes of cardio each week. Try not to get discouraged because it appears that I am hitting a plateau by continuing to work out, watching what I am eating and figure out a way to get past it. Patience is a heavenly virtue...or so they say. LOL

- eat 3/5 fruit/veggies a day - did
- 10,000 steps @ least 5 days a week - 4 days
- to read comment on some1elses blog 2x a week - did+

I just found something new in the fitness section of my tools. You can create your own workout. So I created one and am calling it Wanda's workout. It includes some of the exercises SP suggests plus a few that I enjoy doing. So my challenge to myself for February is to do 'my workout' on alternating days with the cardio workout.

I challenge myself to keep on eating healthy and exercising at least 5 times a week. And to get up early and exercise in the morning, not leave it till the evenings when I know I won't do it.

My chllange is to "get back on track" with Sparkpeople. I was making great progress with my weight loss, working out regularly, using the nutrition tracker and earning sparkpoints everyday for about 6 weeks. Then...Christmas and the holidays hit and I was so busy that I decided to take a week or two and just focus on family and friends instead of me. Well, it is now February and I have gained some weight back, am not working out and am feeling miserable. So, my challenge is to reestablish my routines and habits from Nov '08.

1. I challenge myself to do strength training 3x a week for a total of 90 minutes.
2. I challenge myself to try a new class out at the gym.
3. I challenge myself to say hello to someone new every day.

1. I only did strength training twice last week, but I did do an orientation at the gym so I could tackle those machines I wasn't familiar with - this week I've been on track.
2. Took a spin class tonight!
3. Talking up a storm - usually at the gym - since that's really the main place that I see strangers.

I challenge myself to run three times a week - I have gotten in all my runs except for the first week. It's hard to get back in the rhythm!

I challenge myself to track my food intake every day including weekends - I have done it every day for the three of the four weeks! But I have been doing it on WW instead of SP

I challenge myself to do my pushups three times a week - not so good. I hurt my wrist and I still can't do pushups. I have done strength training at least twice a week though.

I challenge myself to improve my bow arm (violin), and to practice at least 3 times a week IN ADDITION to regular cardio workouts.

UPDATE: Hah! I haven't practiced violin a SINGLE !@#! day this month! Grrrrr ...

I have been upping my cardio intensity and increased the weight I lift - so I do feel successful about that.

February's challenge will be to challenge yourself. The challenge can be physical, nutritional or whatever. Who better than you knows what you need and what you need to work on. So, challenge yourself. Let us know what your challenge is and keep us updated on how your are doing with it.
