That is what I do. I keep a water bottle with me all the time. Another great way to drink more is to use a straw. I have a container I put my water in that has a built in straw and it just seems like I drink the water so much faster that way.

I'm not doing to well with these goals other than the water, veggies, cardio, and weight training. I keep forgetting the huddles and blogs. I must focus on this more closely. I'm trying.

No, you eat all your meals and snacks. The challenge is to encourage people to eat breakfast. So many say they don't have time or they aren't hungry in the morning. But, it is very important to start the day with breakfast even if it is just a piece of fruit. It is very important not to skip any meals. You should be eating 5 to 6 times a day including meals and snacks.

I did it yesterday and I'll do it today. I started by adding 2 slices of tomato to my egg white breakfast sandwich, and a half of a small avocado.
For lunch I'll have a serving of leftover ratatouille with a chicken breast, and an apple for a snack. And dinner is WIDE OPEN!!! emoticon
I also got 61 minutes in at the gym. I feel GREAT!

Water is no problem. Fruits & Veggies no problem - love them ...cardio & strength not a problem doing them, but definitely a problem fitting them in my schedule. Work isn't exactly the friendliest get healthy site, but I squeeze it in whenever I find an opportunity. Blogging, I'm not great, but continue to work on it...good luck everyone else...

Wow, this is going to be tough! My personal goal is to eat 2 servings a day and I struggle with that. However, I stayed within my nutrition ranges and met my fitness goals for last week and GAINED half a pound, so I need to change something. Maybe this will work! Good Luck Everyone!

Cardio and strenght have been a piece of cake (oops, sorry. cake!)

Thought the water would be tough, but that's been a breeze too (4 bottles of Arrowhead a day at 2 1/4 cups a bottle equals mucho hydration)

Blogging, takes a little effort but I'm there (reminds me, gotta do that tonight)

Fruit and veggies? Good lord, I'm out!! I eat applesauce as a fruit, if that tells you anything. I won't bother explaining it here, as I already did it on my sparkpage, but that's one challenge I'm just gonna wave the white flag on!!

i am fairly good at doing this already, but will still make sure i count em up. My big challenge will be at thanksgiving dinners (I have three-ah divorced families) and don't eat meat. So protein? Must portion control and dig in to veggies.

Ok. Winter has good fruits to offer. Navel oranges are coming into season & are delish!
And this year we're not going crazy with the Thanksgiving menu. We'll keep our veggies as "natural" as possible; no crazy casserole types of dishes (that I used to make mainly to impress others with my cooking .... bad idea!). Now, with simplified Thanksgiving veges it will be faster, less expensive AND lower Fat & Calories.

I know how to make french fries count, home made of course.

Slice your potatoes in to strips about 1/2" wide. Set your oven to 425įF. Place the potatoes on a cookie sheet in a thin layer. Lightly coat with with cooking spray. Stir/flip them under all are lightly coated. Bake for about 10-15 (I really don't know the time for sure) or until golden brown as I do.

They're really not too bad and as long as you don't go crazy with the cooking spray, they have hardly any fat.

Yes, salads count as veggies. As mentioned previously, potatoes count as veggie, also. But, not when they are french fries. Sorry.

Ok ,I'm in . Having been eating fruit for Breakfast and snacks.Then having veggies with a couple of meals makes it easier.I get my 5 daily and sometimes more. emoticon

Being vegetarian probably gives me an unfair advantage with this one, but I agree with BabyJane that once you get used to it, getting five servings is pretty easy. Especially when you count beans and potatoes--you wouldn't want these to be your only veggies but they can be a really filling addition.

Oh wow. This might be a hard one. But here goes nothing:

8 glasses of water
40 minutes cardio
7 fruit and veg (1 glass cranberry juice, 1 glass mango juice, 1 glass lime juice, 1 banana, 1/2 cup fern shoots, 1/4 cup cosmos shoots, 1/2 cup cabbage)
Will huddle in a bit!

Once you get used to it, it is easy to get in 5 fruits and veggies per day. I get at least 5 per day and normally more. Here is an example of what I might have in a day:

Breakfast: oatmeal with 1/3 cup of blueberries(1)
Morning snack: banana(2)
Lunch: Lentil soup, watermelon(3,4)
Dinner: chicken breast, sweet potato, broccoli(5,6)

You can do it, too!
