Breakfast doesn't have to be a sit down meal and it doesn't have to be something big. Grab a banana and eat it on the way to the gym. A banana would be great to have before a workout and it's got lots of potassium.

Breakfast - 3 sausages, 1/2 cup baked beans

Rest day, but did some walking and 10 minutes strength.

I find it hard to have breakfast during the week when I workout because I get up and go to work out. If I wake up early I will have breakfast. I had breakfast MWF of this week. That is better than nothing I guess. I usually drink at least 8 cups of water by midday. I get cardio on the lifecycle (42 min) 5 days a week and also do strength training 5 days a week. On MWF I do both lower and upper body strength training. I only do the lower body on T & TH.

I must confess to being to sore from monday and tuesdays workouts to make it to my 4 miles on the treadmill this morning. I had a heavy leg workout yesterday. i stuck to the calorie count and water consumed. i still need to post another blog.

I normally have a wrap with natural peanut butter in the morning for breakfast. It's fast and hits the spot after a run on the treadmill.
I didn't drink enough water Sunday and could tell.
Nov 17 and 18 I did manage to drink my 8 oz.
4 miles on the treadmill both of those days.
I'm still working on the blog content and I have not huddled.

I drank the 10 glasses of water and ate a lite breakfast a yogurt and a cup of green tea with lemon I also did exercise took extra turns going up and down the steps at work I work on the third floor and the cafeteria for break is in the basement so it is up 4 flights of stairs did that 5 times today

I drink lots of water all day - so that one is easy. Breakfast has become a must since I workout in the mornings so I need to refuel afterwards. My favorite is this five-grain oatmeal cereal from Bob's Red Mill with mixed berries on top. MMM....Cardio is going well, I usually do 60 minutes of rowing. Sometimes I mix it up with riding my bike, yoga, etc. The strength training has been surprisingly difficult for me. I'm used to weight-training in gyms (with lots of machines and free weights to choose from) and my little home gym is pretty minimal. I have some light weights and resistance bands. I find I'm more easily bored by my strength training routine than by my cardio.

Doing breakfast was hard for me ,when I eat it seems I stay hunger all day. So changed it up and started eating fruit for breakfast and it is working alot better,not only do I get my fruits and veggies ,I also stay full. emoticon

Hey Kake! I assure you it's stress. I have decided to turn a family crisis to my benefit by really working it.(my MIL is in hospital with heart attack brought on by diabetes and diet-I refuse to let this happen to me)Friday is weigh in that's why I post my blog then. I haven't been eating or sleeping so don't let my results sway you either way. SP is about total health and I am not that model. I just realized that we had some Challenges!
I've been doing all the things we have been challenged to do so far without even knowing I was doing them!! emoticon
I try and drink at least 8 glasses a day, I've been doing 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week. (although I skimped out on Thurs. emoticon )
I've eaten breakfast every morning since starting SP!! emoticon
Oh and I've been doing the Strength Training on M,W,F for the past week already!!

I have the water down and I am moving forward on the daily workouts. I am finding that I have a hard time with my trainers suggestion of 6 small meals a day. I feel full all the time.

I'm over on the water drinking, but my exercise has ground to a halt due to severe back spasms. I can't wait to be healed and exercising again!

Yesterday was an "off" day for me. My grandma-in-law made a delicious ham dinner and apple dumplings. I'm chalking it up to a splurge meal and not recording it!

So far today
water- well on my way to 8!
cardio- 35 minutes
strength- done!
blog- will write one later this week

I belonged to SP for only one week before I went on a one-week vacation. The Good News is that I didn't "gain" any weight while I was gone. Now, I'm back to the Plan :)

Hey Everyone! Happy Monday!

I had a bit of a rough weekend- sorta lost my motivation to work out and eat well... so I'm excited it is Monday and I can start fresh. I've lost 5 pounds so far and I'm excited- just need to keep it going. Good reminder to stay involved on Spark (which I didn't) and to drink enough water (which I also didn't.)

I am pretty good about drinking enough or close to enough water mon-thu, but fri-sun I have a bit of a problem. I have been having a huge problem with going to the gym. So, I will have to try even harder to go on the days I am supposed to (mon-thu) or make sure to make up cardio missed on other days or in other ways. As far as strength training goes I have been slacking on it for the past month, I just need to get going again, 3 days should be easier than the 4 before.

There is no I or U in T-E-A-M!

HI,
On the first day of my first challenge, I:
drank at least 64 ounces of water? yes!
did at least 10 minutes of cardio? yes! And then some!
Ate a healthy breakfast? yes! oatmeal and a banana
Wrote a blog? No, not today, I'm not a great blogger but I'll get there!

I'm doing fine on the water (usually drink about 12 cups) and have been lifting 3x/week since January. I used to do lots of cardio (sometimes even twice a day) but my goal right now is to do 20 min 2x/week and just get lots of activity every day. (Like not making my kids run upstairs to get the scissors, doing more strenuous housework, parking farther away from my destination, etc etc) I find I'm still losing, so that's my plan for now!

To huddle with the team, go to the team's home page (click the link above next to team). In blue letters you should see Today's Huddle, click the button View Huddle Wall/Huddle Now. You are now at the huddle wall. You can check one of the premade huddles to use or type in your own. Then back on the team page all the huddles scroll across.

I'm doing well. I'm on top of my water, and feel pretty familiar with the site. I've been doing cardio 5 times a week but I have to work a little more on my strength training.

I don't have strength or cardio scheduled today. Good thing since I am trying to get a migraine. I have fought it for 2 days. The pain and pressure is behind my left eye. I was hoping to sleep it off last night. Sorry to say that didn't work.

Day 1 (11/16)

This is my day off from working out. And I need it. I've sore muscles - especially my calves.

I won't meet the water challenge, but I appreciate the reminder as it requires that I take note of what I'm drinking, and to monitor my urine output to ensure its not dark. It never is, and I pee a lot, so I'm really comfortable that I'm keeping hydrated enough.

The strength training I started last week. A couple of things I had to remind myself ...

Begin with LOW weights. Just get the body accustomed to the movements ... Begin Low and Slow.

Focus on Breathing. Inhale BEFORE and Exhale DURING the exertion. The breathing component of strength training is really, really important.

Thought I'd mention those little tidbits I learned the hard way to help ward off injuries and other potential problems.

Gonna have to pass on the weight training. I tried it one day and pulled my neck, triggered my darn migraines and wound-up at the chiropractor!

The nutritional part of this weeks challenge includes continuing to drink a minimum of eight 8 ounce glasses of water. In addition to the water challenge, make sure you eat breakfast each morning.
