I usually weigh everyday which can be very frustrating when you are not losing! I do it just so I know where I am at and it helps with knowing when I need to adjust my water and carb choices if nothing else! I get bloated very easily!

I'm a moody fluctuater with my scale. I can go a week or two and not even care and then get focused on it for a while. Usually depends on how diligent I'm being about what I eat. Right now I'm being very disciplined and so I've been on the scale a lot; like every morning for the past week or so. I know better than to do that because the disappointment of an unwanted number can get me down. It's curiosity I guess; I'll mello out soon.

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it's a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they're terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

I've started weighing myself once a week.

I'm here for me and no one else but me. However, it will be everyone who will benefit from a better me. And, I love them the same.

I start by noticing by how my clothes fit me. Then, if they feel a bit loose, I'll step on the scale. I'm afraid of that numeric monster because it all too frequently shows me things I don't want to see.

I didn't even own a scale one year ago. But since I've decided to get serious about getting to the middle of my healthy range I weigh myself weekly. Although on occasion I'll do it sooner if I've been bad or good.

ps... HAPPY CANADA DAY!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Usually once or twice a week. Maybe more if I have started something new and want to see how it is affecting my weight.

When I am serious about loosing weight, I'm on that stupid thing at least once a day! Yes, I'm one of those! but, when I'm not doing so good, I try to stay away from it! I truly have a love/hate relationship with the scale!

Amber, that is really GREAT!! I am a daily scale checker. I tell myself to not let any of it bother me but that is not always the case.

I weigh myself weekly - usually either Saturday or Sunday, but I'm not fanatical about it. I used to be, though. I'd weigh myself a few times a day and beat myself up for the fluctuations that I know are natural. This time around, I'm taking it easier on myself. Sometimes I'll take a peek during the middle of the week, but it's no longer an obsession.

I feel much better adopting this approach.

Well, with me I do weigh myself. Not often, mind you, but enough to keep tabs on unexpected weight gain since I have dealt withe pregnancy induced hypertension in the past. I find that normally weighing myself once a week is good enough for me.

THAT being said, I am so happy to say that as I sit here at 35 weeks, I weigh as much now as I did when I started my last pregnancy! Now, THAT was a nice revelation!!!

Happy July 1st and **HAPPY FRIDAY**!!!

I hope everyone has had a great week this week! You all know why I am here (dum-da-dum-dum!!!) Question of the day time!!! For today, how often do you weigh yourself? Do you peek often at the scale? Do you use other means of telling how you're doing with your progress?
