I had not heard of the drug until your post so looked it up. It's been on the market for a year, which is still a bit scary but not as bad as if it were brand new. You didn't say why he suggested it but from your labs, age, and the fact that he did suggest it I'd guest he thinks you have either homozygous or heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia.

Taking any drug, even Tylenol, is a trade off. I'd read everything I could find about both my condition and the drug and, if you decide to take the drug, MAKE SURE he does blood tests to check on your kidney and liver function as often as the drug manufacturer suggests or at least every 6 months.

My Labs are as follows... 316 Cholesterol-HDL 96: Triglyceride 121: LDL 196. my weight is 145 my age is 55 Female
doctor wants me to consider treatment of Repatha injections? any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank You, Robin
