Hi, Laurie! So glad you are back! I really need someone to help keep me in line.

Sounds like you did pretty good at the party. Progress, not perfection!

I, on the other hand, totally blew it this weekend.

We were tired when we arrived at the townhome we rented, so we pretty much ate and drank. Took a nap. Went into town where we ate and drank some more. Saturday was our friend's birthday, so of course we went into town for a big dinner. Sunday, more eating and drinking.

On the bright side, it was an awesome weekend with friends. Posted some photos of our horseback ride on FB. I'll try to post more of the town later.

Goal for 8/19/13 - really tired, only 4 hours of sleep, but need to be up early to interview some ladies for a mini-documentary for a class I'm developing. SO,

Goal 1. log all food and drink. - Days when tired I tend to "forget" and bag my long term goals. emoticon

Goal 2. No party today, so going for 7000 steps on fitbit. Working back up to my 10,000.

Hi Alicia, horseback riding sounds fun!

Goal for 8/18/13 - 8000 steps recorded on fitbit (really baby steps back here) - did 6000, so almost (too much sitting with company)

Company coming today, so will focus on portion control. emoticon
1 drink, (oops, 2 over here)
no seconds except for veggies. emoticon

Will give this strategy a try.

Overall think this went well started drinking water at start of party, but after lunch wanted one of my specialty drinks (We always invent cocktails as part of our party) - and that was fine, but bad news I learned that it really does mess with inhibition for eating/drinking, even a little.

BUT I did win out eating over veggies instead of chips and using portion control, just didn't pass up the later beers when I meant to go back to water. I also sent all left over goodies brought by party-goers home with party-goers so they won't call my name today!
