EOM: 15/19 hours
Vegan: 31/27 days
Weight: 130/135

Had a nice layover in Waikiki, so I walked to Kahala Mall to get lunch at Whole Foods and walked back around Diamond Head. I mapped it on MapMyWalk and it was about 8.5 miles!

Survived all 21 days of my cleanse! I'm sure some of the weight will come back, but it's nice to be back in my "happy weight" range. It was so nice to have a cup of coffee this morning!

I've tried it in the past, but may give it a whirl again! Think it is just too many things to juggle at the moment.

Congrats for completing week two!!

Today I went to the farmers' market and got fresh hummus and produce and got my friends to chopping. DH said, even Alicia could enjoy this food! We had strawberries and everyone made their own guacamole from a bar of tomatoes, spices, cilantro etc. It worked out really well. Then my friend and "fake son", Steve and I perfected the perfect all organic, fresh fruit margarita mix. We either used fruit from our own trees or items from the market. It was awesome and loads of fun to taste until we got it right. That way the non-drinkers had a good drink, and the drinkers added their own tequila to taste.

Once the house is back in order we'll have you up to see it and try some fun cooking.

I've been having so much insomnia I'm lucky to get in a few work outs a week. All part of the crazy mind during construction. I am so not looking forward to the next several months with contractors in my house - and so looking forward to the results :)

I may. I just disgust myself these days. I do well for a day or perhaps a few days, then blow it big time. My stinking thinking reminds me so much of myself 20 years ago, when I kept failing and gaining. I'm so afraid I'll end up back at the 300 mark again. You'd think it'd scare me into doing what's right, but…. Dang! I just can't get it together!

Not giving up though. Hopefully, I find my mojo again.

We have to get together for a walk! I would love to hear about your remodeling! Since I can't afford it, I live vicariously through others.

Today is day 7 of the cleanse. The biggest challenge is leaving the house! LOL There are plenty of things I can eat, if I make them myself. Yesterday we went to Disneyland, but we had to leave after my morning snack and I packed my shake and supplements to drink in the car when we got there. Then I had two granny smith apples during our stay. (The only thing I found to eat.) And we had to leave by 7 so I could get home to eat before 8. Fortunately, the bloating in my stomach is gone, I've dropped 3.5 pounds, and I'm hoping this helps my inflammation issues. *Fingers crossed*

Today is Day 5 of the 21-day cleanse. The program is so much stricter than last time. I have to admit it's a challenge. The good news is that I'm down about 2.5 pounds and the bloating in my stomach is way down. Hoping my tendon issues improve as well. Going in for acupuncture today.

Glad you're back, Dee!

Just started my cleanse this morning. Hope it helps my tendons go back to normal and I need to get my weight and body fat back down. As of this morning 137.4 pounds and 28%. Had my first protein/vitamin/fiber shake this morning. Not so bad. Flying is going to be a bit tricky. Going to do some cooking today so I have food to pack.

Where has this month gone? I've been meaning to get here, and well... I guess I was too slow to catch time - it got away from me, lol.

I think the number 15 sounds good - especially since I'm getting a late start AND I've not logged in about 3-5 days. So I'm going to start logging again and I'm going to stay under that 2000 calorie mark for 15 days in March, starting today.

and HAPPY BIRHTDAY !!!

I admit, I love staying in hotels too! I always think to myself how nice it is to have a room free of clutter and just the necessities in my bag, but when I get home, I can never seem to let go of anything! Geesh!

Hi Alicia, well it sounds like loads of stir-fry (sans peanut oil) in your future. But I admit, it doesn't seem as bad when you list what you CAN eat.

Today is the day, and I am celebrating at the airport hotel! I love that place. DH and I go to watch movies and TV as we don't have any regular TV at home, swim in the pool, hang out and eat at the fab restaurant there. We go so often we had enough points for a freebie stay today. (Getting used to the whole retirement saving money and eating half-price kind of thing),

Some former co-workers who are also really good friends are coming to dine,

I wish there was a job just traveling to hotels and staying there, because I love it. Must be my lack of house-keeping talent. It is just so calming to have a night with no dishes, no vacuuming, no cat-fur, no clutter, and a swimming pool! Wish there was such a thing as a hotel critic similar to restaurant critic. But then again, if I had to go, probably wouldn't like it as much. Still, in my fantasy life - it's great and all of that dining and wine tasting doesn't even add a thing to my svelte and stylish waistline!

Don't think of it as this time, think of it as lifetime.

On the cleanse, I can eat brown rice, buckwheat, amaranth, and quinoa; beans, peas, and lentils; most vegetables (except starchy veggies and nightshades) and low-glycemic index fruits; and most nuts, seeds, and nut butters (no peanuts).

I'm already cutting way back on caffeine, so I don't get those horrible headaches when I give it up. Last time it took about 10 days to get over the headaches. Ouch!

Glad you are feeling better Alicia! Respect for the cleanse. Doesn't sound too appealing (though I can see that any food sensitivity should be taken care of by this diet)- so, what kinds of things will you actually be able to consume?

My birthday dinner is Friday, so I think I will pretty much be opposite gal that day emoticon
