It is said that if Mohammad wont go the mountain then you must bring the mountain to him !!!
The highest point in Mississippi is the " Woodall Mountain" just off Hwy 25 and South of Luka. The mountain is 807 feet to the peak. There is a sign that lets all visitors to prepare for a steep, unpaved and rocky incline of about a mile to the summit. The Mountain was the site of several civil war battles. At the base of the mountain is the town Of Luka's little league and soft ball fields. A top the hill is a picnic area and an area for several vehicles. There use to be an observation that you could climb and see for miles around however it has fallen prey to the elements and is not recommend to climb .

Benefits to Mountain climbing/hiking :
1. Improved cardio-repiratory fitness
2. Improved muscular fitness
3. Lower risk of coronary heart disease and stroke
4. Lower risk of high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes
5. Lower risk of high cholesterol and triglycerides
6. Lower risk of Colon and breast cancer , possibly lung and endometrial cancer
7. Increased bone density or a slower loss of density
8. reduced depression and better quality of sleep
9. lower risk of early death ( if you active for 7 hours a week , your risk of dying early is 40 % lower than someone active less than 30 minutes a week )
10. Weight control hiking burns up 370 calories an hour (154-1b person)

Your challenge to climb Wood all mountain ... use your fitness minutes and move up the mountain. 1 minute = 1 foot .... maximum 120 minutes a day ..... Enjoy everyone !!!!
