I'm a couple weeks behind... Happy to report I am in and 4lbs down and 1/2 way to Septembers goal!

Planning my meals, logging my food/ exercise and doing some sort of physical activity at least 20 minutes a day! Switched from soda to crystal light; still get my "sweet" fix without all the actual sugar!

I hope it's not too late to join!! I just joined SparkPeople on the 10th... so I'm only about a week and a half behind! My goal for the month was to lose 6 lbs a month... I'd love to increase that to a goal of 8 lbs per month! I'm very excited. Good luck to everyone!!!

I'm making progress! School started this week and so did crew. I've worked out everyday and I'm still eating really well. The key to this weight loss is continuing to eat well and not justify eating bad foods just because I worked out. I'm down to 191! Just one more pound before I reach my first goal!!!! I hope to be there by Monday!!!

Yesterday's trip to the gym (on site at work) was a bust. I got to the locker room and discovered I should not pack my bag in the dark! I had thrown a pair of boy shorts in my bag rather than the sports bra I thought I had grabbed. OOPS! I have a huge paper due next week, so I went to the library... Turns out someone somewhere wanted me to get some exercise. This is my first trip to the library on campus (this is my first block of class there). I chose the WRONG parking lot. Not only did I walk acorss campus and all over the library... I did it in 4 inch heels! It wasn't the same as a trip to the gym, but it sure wasn't easy lol

Well so far so good. Started out at 182.4 and as of today I am 178.0. so 4.4 pounds 1/2 way. I am confident i'll be able to lose the 8 pounds by end of September.

How is every one else doing??

First of all I want to apologize cuz I haven't had time to post but other than that I've been keeping up with my calories & I've been exercising. Plus, I joined a gym last week which helped me shed 3 pounds this week. Yay! I'm so happy! Now just need 5 more but I'm reved up more than ever to do this. Let's do it!!!

Only lost .2 lbs this week.. UGH!! I am finding it very hard to stay on track during the weekends.. I think i am going to change my weigh in days to Monday this way I have to stay on track on the weekends.. I guess its better than nothing but I was definitely wanting to see more of a loss this week.

Yeah I finally seen a drop in the scale numbers!!!! I am 3 lbs closer to my goal weight. Hopefully I can keep it up.

Rather frustrated after this past week. I made no movement on the scale (which I guess is better than gaining) and I stuck to my goal of no alcohol. Good thing is I feel stronger when completing my workouts so something has got to happen soon. This week my goal is no deserts! This one is gonna be a toughy but its only one week ;)

Ok.. So I ate badly Saturday and Sunday!! Not a good thing.. I weigh in tomorrow and don't even want to now. emoticon Oh yeah and I ate badly yesterday too.. I am going to push myself extra hard in my workout today hopefully to help make up for some of the crap I ate the past 3 days.. I feel horrible!!

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Sparkpeople and new to this team. I am also a weight watchers member, but I am thinking about letting go of my membership, but want to maintain my food journaling. Since I am joining midway through the month I will try to lose 4 lbs by the end of September. My weigh in days are on Fridays, on my last weigh-in 9/10 I was at 209.4. So by 9/30 I hope to be 205!

Hi CREISER ! Congrats on the four children, I'm sure you feel it's all the work you'll ever need ! I know how you feel (with being tired all the time) with two jobs and barely any time to cook. I have a very slim window in between jobs everyday that I find the time to fit in my workouts. I would suggest sitting down and write out a list like you're planning out your day, maybe even for several days. Study everything you have to do and ask yourself what you can squeeze together, which things you might have your husband do to save you some time, or see if there are any things you can knockout for several days all at once (like batch cooking and using leftovers for new meals and even lunches). Also, I'm sure you've seen this EVERYWHERE on this site. Little "spurts" of exercise COUNT ! Even if it's only 10 min. here, 15 min. there, it COUNTS ! If this works for you, keeping a schedule of your workouts AND your rewards to yourself are a great motivation, make yourself a chart or make it a desktop background, have fun with it ! Ok, so I am trying really hard to lose the extra baby weight and stress weight that I have gained from having 4 kids, a full time job, and a husband (who btw is not always that encouraging). I can't seem to stay motivated. I was getting up and running every morning then my damn asthma kicked in and I backed my workouts down again. Now the 3 older kids have started school again so mornings are out of the questions for exercising. Then when I get home there is supper to make, homework to check, and house to clean. By the time all of that is done I am so tired that doing any kind of exercise seems impossible. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep myself motivated? I really want to reach my goal weight before my next birthday in April and I haven't managed to budge the scale but 1 or 2 lbs. HELP!!!!

It isn't going to be easy but it will get done.

UGH!!!! So today (and yesterday) I binged like a crazy person. I definitely NEED to workout tomorrow. Thank god, its a new week. I'll weigh myself in the morning and workout hard ALL week, every day. And starting tomorrow, I'm going to do the Women's Health Two Day Cleanse. So hopefully I can drop water weight! I hope I learn from this mistake! Good luck everybody! There's 19 days left in September!

I have got to check my SparkMail more often! I'm jumping in on this late, I've only lost one lb this month but I'm willing to do my best to work off the other 7. I've been gaining weight steadily all year so it's nice to have a big challenge to start turning that around!

I'm pretty sure I lost a lot of water weight because I had been slacking in my diet for the past month (lots of salty foods and soda's emoticon ). But all the same, I'm super excited with 4lbs lost already!

Thanks so much for the tips! I keep trying to swear off any drinking while I'm dieting, but that never really works. It's good to know a couple of drinks are still ok. Thanks again! and good luck!

So really wasn't sure which day I would use as my weigh in day but I've decided on Fridays I guess.

I want to throw out there that while this seems like a big success (and yes that's what I'm telling myself it is) I always have to keep in mind that I had a dental procedure this week and so soft foods have been my friend.
