we always do the abf u pack, we move thing. We pack the boxes & put them on the truck. They come back in 2 days & take it to the next place. Only had to put it in storage once. Once we let other folks help pack & found out the boxes weren't full. It rained when we loaded the truck, so when it got to the other end, all the boxes were smashed. Be sure your boxes are full and the dishes have all that stuff around them so they don't crack up. I prefer to pack my own stuff thank you.
We had a shocker our first move. Gave them pizza & sodas. The packers did horrible stuff to our brand new things, stole stuff, broke stuff [dismantled & muddy footprinted & tire tracked] packed a breadmaker with a lump of dough in process, dump feminine products out of boxes and used as packing.

Another thing to keep with you in the car: a little container of what we need for a month or so. Like dvdplayer/electric chords, food/snacks/dishes/utensils, blankets, pillows, toiletries, extra clothes, knife, mixing bowl/spoon/ brownie pan. like in case we need to camp out in the house before the hhg arrive or we get there on a weekend.

Hey all! My family is making a BIG move in 50ish days and I am feeling so so overwhelmed! I have made one PCS before and know how TMO likes to pack and not let me do it (which makes me insane) Do any of you have tips or helpful hints to help me make this as easy as possible on my family? Ill be traveling with two dogs and a four year old.
