I meditate once a day for about 5 minutes, and also practice the Zentangle Method, meditative drawing, every day. Here are 2 articles. If you're interested, check out our Zentangle SparkPeople Team.

Meditation is wonderful...anytime of the day!

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

My dojo offers a monthly meditation class, tonight is the 1st night I will be able to attend. I'm hoping this will give me a way to shut my head off in a healthy way. I don't think it will be the answer to all my issues but I'm thinking that if I learn to channel my negative thoughts, dump the baggage, and let go of some of my issues it will help overall. I'm also hoping that whatever I take from these classes will also help when I get into my binge times. I'm hoping instead of stuffing my face, I can use meditation to get through whatever is making me want to eat.
Has anyone else tried meditation and how did it work/not work for you??
