India, huh?? Wow, I guess SP is world-wide!! I have MANY friends here who are from India!! Love your food and the clothes!!!!!

Anyway, that's great that you are disciplined enough to work out w the DVDs on your own! Keep it up!! And if you get a little bored after awhile and want some variety, check out Youtube!! I have a Zumba playlist below that you can check out--and soon you will find your own favorites! There are TONS of awesome Zumba instructors on Youtube!! You can memorize some of the routines, download the music and do it on your own.
Anyway, good luck and keep up the good work!!

thank you so much kirsten and sandy! I am from India.. and there are no Zumba instructors here in Chennai... hence the DVD series... never the less it is still fun! :) ... Do keep a check on me regularly... need it! .. one small query... how do i get my self one of those cute scales that you guys have at the end of your posts? :)

Where are you from?? (I noticed that you use kilos instead of pounds.)
Good for you with your goals!! I hope you will be able to stick to your exercise schedule--but if you miss a day or two, don't give up!! Just pick yourself up and keep going!!
Looking forward to seeing your progress!!

May I suggest you never say this is your final attempt at anything? That sounds so self-defeating...but anyway, I'm guessing that other exercise programs have bored you in the past, in which case, you're in luck! Zumba doesn't get boring!

However, if you do find that the video choreography ever does get boring, SEEK out live classes at www.zumba.com! They are the BEST!

hi!

I weighed 80 Kilos in July 2007....78 in Nov 2007....74 in April 2008... 72 in December 2008... and then i stopped excerssing (yea dont ask me why!1).... then began my weight gain program.... after 2 years i have managed to put on 4 kgs mroe than my starting weight in 2007.... right now i weigh 84 kgs...and i had lmost given up hope on my lazy habits!


then came ZUMBA!!!!.... i know its been less than a week since i started doing the Zumba DVD series... but i LOVE it. and heres my promise..... this is the last and final workout regime i want to ever try.... to lose weight.... and I want to STICK to it!!!


I need to reach my ideal weight which is between 57-60 kgs.... and i committ myself to ZUMBA for 6 days a week... the last day i prefer to do something relaxing like yoga...


So i will start posting my updates every day for the next one month and then at the end of every week after that... and i want all the motivation that i can get people!!! :) :)

Dec 28, 2010: total workout minutes 60 (Zumba Live)
Dec 29: total wm 40 (20 min express & flat abs)
Dec 30: WM 45 (cardio party)
