" ***I*** will have the last laugh cause I will not give in, no matter how many times I have to start over!"

That says it all Renee!!! I think that is how most of us feel, or we wouldn't be here day in and day out trying to reach our goals. I can see You Now in your size 10/12 Beautiful Halloween dress... so keep the determination cause that is what inspires me about You.

I was blessed Mon. Sept. 29th with a new great granddaughter and we call her Addy for short. I plan to be here to Zumba Dance at Addy's wedding. So I have about 20 years to perfect it.

We can do what we set our minds to do!!!

I just keep on and on with this. I do great, mess up, figure what the heck, then re-focuse and the cycle starts again. It keeps me hopping within the same 10 stinking pounds over and over.

Just last month after a great August (lost 8 pounds) I lost momentum during September and the end of Sept I had a bout of what-the-heck. It's just like what you said, Charlie, maybe I'm supposed to be where I'm at forever and never thinner. And I get very down, but give up? No Way.

Currently, I'm there again. Like I told you, I learned that I can gain weight twice as fast as I can lose it... be it over a week or just a day... it comes back to me with a vengence and I think it laughs at me... But one day, ***I*** will have the last laugh cause I will not give in, no matter how many times I have to start over! One Day I Will Be 145 pounds!

Whatever is good for your soul, do that.

When I stopped making excuses, I started making progress.

Hi Elaine,

I'm so sorry to here that you've haven't been feeling well. I here you about keeping on track with the life style when you have company and going out to eat. Last week-end we had a two family Yard Sale and for two nights we were all so tired to cook we all went out for dinner and I lost it when I saw the Chocolate Cobbler. I don't know what I was thinking but I blew it!

I like the idea about dressing nice for dinner maybe that would help especially if the close are a little snug as well as the shoes. Maybe I would not lose my focus.

Good points, Elaine!!!

I know exactly what you are talking about. I thought, Oh,no,I am not sticking to my new way of life!!

I have had a virus the last two weeks and am still coughing. It seems if you don't feel good it is difficult to eat right. Also, I can go along very well, but then things happen to change my routine and it is difficult to keep up with my lifestyle changes. I had company from out of state and it was difficult to entertain and go out and still eat
right.

I know some place it asked if you have a specific goal to reach for a certain event. I didn't. I do think it would be best to have a goal with an event.

Another thing I did was to be more particular in how I dressed, like going to church, selecting items that look good and adding jewelry and maybe shoes that I haven't worn much because they aren't as comfy. I do believe if you look good, you automatically feel good about yourself.

Hope we hear from more Zumba's. Elaine
The good thing is that we can always get back on track. Almost like a bad haircut which grows back in time. We can gain a pound or two and then rein in and get serious again. It isn't the end of the world. Just keep trying.

Every time I blow my (New way of Life) diet, I知 thinking, I guess I知 supposed to be this size at this age, so why fight it. Then after I gain a pound or two I get down on myself.

That痴 when I start pulling myself up by the boot straps and get back on the horse and try again.

What are your thoughts when you lose focus temporarily and start your old eating habits again?
