Our church really encourages people to read the Bible through each year. There are three or four papers that are given out that does it different ways. I am in Exodus now after finishing Job then going back to Genesis.

This morning i finished up the book of Judges. It blows my mind how the people of Israel would be so quick to turn from God then go crying back to him when things got rough. It shows the mercy and patience God has with us and assurance that He still loves us even when we make mistakes.

I read five Psalms. Psalms 26, 56, 86, 116, 146. After being in a funk for a while I started doing this for encouragement! It works wonders!

How I feel is more important than what I weigh! How my clothes fit is beginning to matter more!!

Psalm 33

Let the godly sing for joy to the Lord;
it is fitting for the pure to praise him.
Praise the Lord with melodies on the lyre;
make music for him on the ten-stringed harp.
Sing a new song of praise to him;
play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy.

For the word of the Lord holds true,
and we can trust everything he does.
He loves whatever is just and good;
the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.
The Lord merely spoke,
and the heavens were created.
He breathed the Word,
and all the stars were born.
He assigned the sea its boundaries
and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs.

Let the whole world fear the Lord,
and let everyone stand in awe of him.
For when he spoke, the world began!
It appeared at his command.

the Lordís plans stand firm forever;
his intentions can never be shaken.

The Lord looks down from heaven
and sees the whole human race.
From his throne he observes
all who live on the earth.
He made their hearts,
so he understands everything they do.
The best-equipped army cannot save a king,
nor is great strength enough to save a warrior.
Donít count on your warhorse to give you victoryó
for all its strength, it cannot save you.

But the Lord watches over those who fear him,
those who rely on his unfailing love.
He rescues them from death
and keeps them alive in times of famine.
We put our hope in the Lord.
He is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.

Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord,
for our hope is in you alone.

II Kings 23

II Chronicles 34, 35,

Zephaniah 1, 2, 3

Jeremiah 1, 2, 3

In Judah one king would follow God and tear down all the places the false gods would worship and then the son would reestablish them.

Zephaniah again forewarns Judah to return to God and stay with Him or it will suffer the wrath of God and be taken into captivity as Israel had.

Karri, Judas' body was buried in a field that the 30 pieces of silver was used to pay for and became the site for those who did not have money to buy a grave site. I think this is explained more in another Gospel.

Psalms 20

Matthew 26:69-75 and 27:1-10
I did not know that Judas had thrown down the silver and hung himself right then, I thought he had hung himself much later. I wonder what became of him.

I read Isaiah 40 - 43

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.

Sound familiar? These are the words Handel used in one of his songs.
