My goal this month of Jan. 2009 was to lose down to 179#s by the 31st.

I'm going to have to stop setting these personal goals cause they don't work for me. I started at 188.6 on the 8th and I've gone the wrong way, I'm headed back to the 190's.

I'm not going to tell anyone next time until I have made it to my goal. I feel like a yoyo!

Carol, I'm having the same problem right now and have been since Oct. but, if your doing strength training and building muscle you won't see the scale move much at first. If you measured you should be seeing the inches come off. Just keep on doing what you're doing and it will come down.

I am not doing too good on this challenge!!! I just can't seem to get the scale to move. I am really doing good at my exercise, but I can't get my appetite under control. Still working on this challenge!!!

1/14/09 Tue. I weighed 188.60#s this morning.
(I was scheduled to be at 186.48#s today).

1/13/09 Sun. I DIDN'T (walked 0 - 20 minute miles) and my net carbs were 23.

In the thread "MY PROMISE TO MYSELF" I have challenged MYSELF for one month. I will post everyday what I do. I started today Dec. 15th

Well.....I did it!!! 210.6 weigh in today at Weight Watchers. I am FINALLY at my ticker again, now...I need to keep on top of this!!!! I know I can do this!! I just rejoined for another 12 weeks, I can't stop going, it keeps me on my toes. Wish me luck!!!

Today I weighed in at 211.6, so I am slowly getting back to my ticker, almost there. To date, I have lost 65.35 inches from my body!!! I really think this Zumba stuff is helping me tone. My goal is to maintain over the holidays, then get back into my weight loss program after the first of the year.

Monday Dec. 8, 2008 - 188 Lost .80#s Total Lost... 10.40#s
Total Inches 319.50 ~ Lost 2" - Total lost... 21 1/2" Wk 23

I didn't measure last week due to family being here for Thanksgiving but I did weigh Mon. Dec. 1st 186.6#s so, I have gained from that day 1.40#s.

Anyway today I weigh 188 and my total inches are 319.50

Wow, I like that video!! I wish I could move like that!! Sometimes we have 40 women in our class, it is becoming popular. I know all about the rubber ball thing, ......hopefully I am on a roll. We had pizza tonight and played Euchre with some neighbors. I couldn't keep my hands away from the munchies!!!

Well, I think you are right....the spell might be broken!!! I lost 3.6 today at Weight Wtchers, WooHoo!! I am still not where my ticker is, 213 today, but I refuse to change it, I would rather change my weight. I know I can do this!! Congrats on your weight loss, you are on a roll!!!! I took my Zumba class tonight, 3X's this weeek!! She changed our routine and I am alittle sore.Do you take a class or do it on your own? I would like to find a good video to do at home.

Carol, I'm glad you had a good time with your friends. It sounds like y'all had a blast! You will lose the 2 lbs. again but good friends are to be treasured. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

By the way I have been struggling for over a month to get back down to 187 and this morning I was 187.2. Now it's Thanksgiving and I don't plan on being good! We shall see....

Well, unfortunately I did not meet my challenge this week. I gained 2 lbs!!! I spent the weekend(4 days) with my girlfriends up at one of their cottage on a small lake. We had such a great time, but a few too many margaritas!!! I will take this challenge again soon!!!

Elaine, maybe if you can remember to drink your water before y'all eat a meal it will help you. I know if I drink a full glass of water just before I eat it fills me up and I eat less.

I hope you can work it out and still enjoy being with you daughter. Tell her we all think you are great.

Things are going better this week and I have lost what I gained lately. The challenge for me will be the next two weeks when I visit my daughter in AZ. I am planning to do a lot of walking by sightseeing and shopping and just going for a walk. Also hope to swim as the weather should be suitable there while it may be snowing at the end of the week here. Will let you know how it goes. Good luck with your challenge.

Keep trying Charlie. But the inches are really great!!! I am not doing that well this week with a lot of guests from out of state and having to cook and feed them. It is difficult not to eat in this setting. I hope to get back to a better routine next week. Elaine

Thanks for the con grads, Elaine. How are you doing? Are you going to join us?

Yes,we have been for a few walks and some with the horses too. Plus we have been in the workshop working on great grand babies cradles. We are building three and one for a doll. I guess I will take a pic and post it in the photo gallery.

emoticon Oops! I forgot to post That I'm in and my start weight was 198.6 pounds.
I eat a Low Carb diet, drink about 12 8oz glasses of water everyday and I walk or workout on my Bowflex or do Zumba. One of those everyday!!!
So far I have averaged losing 1 pound every week since July 6, 2008.

I like this challenge. I was checking the calendar and if we lost 1 pound per week every week until the end of the year, we will lose 11 pounds. Doesn't that seem like a great goal. I will certainly be trying for the one pound in 7 days.

Recently I had a check up, and I hate going to the Dr. because of the scale!!! But, I had actually lost 13 pounds from the most I had weighed. Also had a mammogram yesterday. Everyone, this is Breast cancer awareness month. Do get in for a mammogram if you haven't had one in the last year.

Challenge, Lose 1 Pound in 7 Days
There are no rules. Just do what works for you.

Just post that you Want In and what your Start Weight is. Then post what is working for you. What your doing may help someone else.

Let's get some results and have fun with this! The winner will be you! You will lose the weight and improve your health.
