KWEZIKAZI... Did you get up this morning? I've been thinking about you since your post. Haven't seen anyone give you any ideas, so here goes....

Why don't you post the description of one of the pretty houses in your neighborhood for us each day -- Or, something you saw on your daily walk? Give it a try for the next week or two. (Would it help if you gave us your phone number, and we setup a phone rotation, and called you each morning? I leave for work around 6:45 a.m. -- Just kidding!)

Don't let me fool you. I have motivation issues when it comes to exercising, particularly when I have to do it late in the evening. I'd much rather lay around in my PJ's and watch TV or read a book. I've pondered the idea of not allowing myself to read my book, unless I'm on the treadmill. If the story is good enough, it will force me to do it.

Is there a positive reinforcement, something you can reward yourself with, if you get up and walk? Long/hot shower? A cup of your favorite coffee or tea? Or, do you know someone that you can meet up with each morning, and walk together?

i need motivation to wake up in the morning to go for a walk. i just moved to a neighbourhood that is so pretty, you just wana walk around there and look at the pretty houses all the time but waking up early is impossible for me!!! Motivation from somebody please...

I find it really hard to work out when I'm feeling down, although afterwords I tend to feel better than I did before, somehow it forces the bad thoughts out of my head... (maybe it's b/c I'm too busy cursing whatever gym machine i'm on) ;-). Anyhow, just wanted to wish you a better day tomorrow!

KLABUGSY - when I posted my results I saw that you did the full 90 minutes on the treadmill. That is SO impressive! I have such a hard time getting through the 30 minutes (I've finally pushed it up by forcing myself to walk the entire 5 minute cool down at the end). How did you do it?! Just wanted to send you some kudos, I'm impressed. :-)

This has ended up being a tough week, but I'll take the little successes along the way. (Remember, exercise and I aren't good friends yet.) I've got two internal auditors in, the divisional controller, and a project manager visiting. Means taking them out to dinner and lunch, and leaving little time or energy at the end of the day. BUT... Before heading to lunch or dinner, I've been checking out the nutritional information of the restaurants we're headed to beforehand, and haven't done too bad. I've forced the water down. (Yes, "forced" was correct. I tell you I'm half camel, and can easily go without water or fluids for most of the day.) Tonight, I was exhausted. Wanted to head to bed before my kids... Instead, I went downstairs and walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes. YEAH!!

JENN and all, I'm doing it. Hope you're all finding your small successes. Hang in there!! (Going to bed now....)

Hey thought I would let you all know that I did the videos tonight too. Just wanted to let you know I am not asking you to do anything I am not willing to do myself :) I also did my strength training and deep cleaned my house (it was supposed to be my cardio rest day, otherwise I would have been at the gym :) )

You can do it one of two ways. Work your upper body one day and lower another and get a point for each day or you can do them both on one day and get 2 points. Some people do both exercises daily because they work different muscle groups.

Personally, I just do strength training 3 days per week. Just remember you get points for each seperate exercise, so it doesn't really matter if you do 3 today and 3 tomorrow or just do 6 today. :)

on the strength training, according to SP we should not do that everyday. There should be a day of rest between days that you do ST. so there will be days when we do not have points or are we to do it everyday?

To cut and paste the template, highlight the template and then right click, and pick copy. Then start a new post and paste it in there. Let me know if you need more help.

Jenn - I'm assuming that in your template, that you meant 8 *cups* of water = 5 points, and not 8 *oz* (since I assume you want us to meet the daily 8cups/64oz minimum each day)?

I think you can put your individual exercises in for strength. That did always confuse me. If you just let me know what type of exercises you are doing in the circuit, I am good with that.

the links to the videos were in my first post or they are on my Spark Page as well. I will post them later, I can't get them to post as a link right now for some reason.

I'm still finding my way around sparkpeople. In the Strenght fitness I noticed there no place for circuit training from a gym. It's in the cardio area does circuit training count for strenght? Also I hav'nt been able to find anything on stretch videos. Where are they? Thanks

So.. I have a question already
I haven't had a chance to look at the videos yet
but i do my own stretching (probably same stuff since its all basic) at the gym w/ a stretching machine... i take a good 5 mins to stretch on there
can that count?
