Kelly- to accept, just say you want in (I am assuming you do and am putting you on the list, so you don't actually have to post again :) )

Your goals will be tracked daily on another thread I will set up towards the end of the week. There will be a template that you will copy and paste into a thread and I will keep track daily.

to add the videos to your fitness tracker just do this:

go to your fitness page, click add strength exercises, click the user entered tab and then add a new user entered exercise. Then when you do them you can click on them from the user entered tab.

Yolanda- any cardio counts, so do what you can. If you are working out and getting your heart rate out, it counts :)

Cahibmom- yes if you added strength training it could impact your calorie range. It looks at your anticipated exercise (goals) for the week to help figure your calorie range.

Geelah407- I am not sure where you are trying to add. You can just enter it as a strength exercise under user entered. Email me if you need help :)

I'm in. Stretching is going to be a good addition for me. Also, I hope this will motivate me to stick with my exercise regime more times each week!

PS. I can't figure out how to add the stretching routine as a workout. I got to the part of clicking on "track strength exercises" then on the tab called "manage workouts". Once I click on "create a new workout" and name it, that's where I got stuck. What are we supposed to add as exercises? Should we just enter "lower body stretch" as an exercise, and if so, how many reps should we put down? Or am I in the wrong spot all together.... sorry for the long winded question.....

Help ... I thought I had the Nutrition page all figured out. To my surprise, my daily calorie goals have changed, and I don't know why? I remembered someone had the same question when we were doing the previous challenge, but I can't remember the answer.

I was working with my fitness tracker, and added some strength items. Would that do it? I'm confused. I haven't completed enough fitness activities to make a difference. Can you tell me how the nutrition page and fitness page interact?

Appreciate anyone's help. Thanks...

I really want to get into this challenge but will have to have help in adjusting it for me. I am in a wheelchair but do "walk" twice daily. Notice I do use the word walk loosely. For me it is a cardio exercise for sure. Is there someone that can help me make this challenge possible yolanda

To add the strength to your day, just go to your fitness page, click add strength exercises, click the user entered tab and then add a new user entered exercise. Then when you do them you can click on them from the user entered tab. Hope that makes sense!

Cyndy- to answer your question, yes I am ok with you using your own stretching routine as long as I can see it (which in your case I can). The purpose is to get everyone stretching :) I know that is the part of my routine that I need help on. I am always skipping that!

Hi Jenn,

Yep, I'm in emoticon Since the "chat" link isn't up yet I'll ask my question here~~I have a bunch of "user added" stretches that I do everyday can I use those instead of the videos? You can check them out on my fitness page, they're up for public view.

Ok! You asked for it...you got it. Here is the sign up for your exercise challenge. Sign up will run through Saturday, October 4th. The challenge will run from Oct 5th-Oct 25th (yes that is a long time, but hey this is a life time committment here. Also just think of it as a post to get Spark Points).

Now you are probably thinking "Oh no, what is she going to make us do now." Just remember this is to challenge yourself (and help you by making you more accountable).

Now you are probably saying.."shut up and get on with the rules already" Well ok, here they are!

1. 8 glasses (that's 8oz glasses people) of water per day. (What you thought you were going to get away from a water goal just because this is an exercise challenge? No way!) This must be pure water. Gatorade doesn't count, Powerade doesn't count, only water counts. Ok, fine, you can put a lemon, lime, orange or cucumber slice in there...but still has to be water. This will be worth 5 points per day.

2. Cardio. You will get 1 point per 15 minutes of cardio per day up to 90 minutes per day (so that is a total of 6 points you can earn per day).

3. Strength training. You will get 1 point per strength exercise per day. So if you do pushups that is 1 point even if you do 20 sets of them. If you do sit ups, pushups, squats and lunges that is 4 points.

4. Stretching. You get 1 point for each of these videos you do each day. There are 2 videos so that is 2 points you can earn each day by stretching. You can add these under your strength training in your fitness tracker as user added. Let me know if you need help doing that.

5. Post by 2am EST and you get an exta 5 bonus points.

There will be a thread to chat and one to post your daily results just like the last challenge. Please do not email me to sign up, use this thread. I will post a template on Friday or Saturday to use to post your results.

Your fitness tracker must be public so I can spy on you :)
