I'm doing cardio 5x a week, strength training 3x, and on Saturdays I'm trying to at least walk a mile and a half.

Goals!

Just start doing something -- Doesn't matter what it is, just keep moving.

1) Today I started Boot Camp Class -- Oooowiieee. OUCH. I am going to go twice a week and do Step Aerobics at least once a week. Then walk 2 1/2 miles or so....on other days.

2) EAT RIGHT! Eating every 2-3 hours (healthy) I lost 5 pounds immediatly without exercise.

3) ENJOY IT and Stick With It!

Because I am training for a triathlon, I will be running, biking and swimming at various degrees of intensity six days per week. I am also committing myself to yoga at least once per week.

Hi, I'm new to Spark, and I don't have any sort of exercise plan. How or who do I talk to about this if you know? I have Fibromyalgia and CFS and Parkinson's. So exercise is a great challenge to me. I wish you good luck as you continue on to your personal goals.

Have a great day today,

My fitness plans include 25-30 minutes of carido everyday and strengh train three times a week. SP started me out with six different training exercises and I have edited that to include five core five upper and five lower body exercises. I am drinking at least 64oz of water a day and doing my best to stay in calorie range looking forward to getting in shape and healthy again.

PS anyone know were I can find some yoga or piltes workouts thought i would do those the days im not strengh trainging

I'm doing cardio 3 times/week and doing strength training 3 times/week. For cardio, I'm doing stuff with my small kids (taking them on longer walks going as fast as I can). For strength training, I'm doing whatever workout the Sparkpeople website tells me to do. I work from home so I do the strength training in my office while I listen to conference calls :)

I'd love to do the Couch to 5k program with a team. I started it last year but lost motivation because I didn't have anyone to do it with. I am starting a Boot Camp x3 week on the 15th. My goal between now and then would be to walk the dog x3 a week and do some yoga. Take the stairs instead of the elevator - I will start that tomorrow!

My plans are to keep my calorie intake in between 1200-1500.

Doing cardio work 5x a week. I have to push myself and get this to happen!

Also doing the strength training program here at SP 3x a week.

No sodas, limit my cake, bread, and pasta eating habits.

At least 80 oz of water each day.

And keeping a positive attitude no matter what the scale says!!!

After being on SP for 2-3 months, I am ashamed to say that I don't really have any fitness plans. I do whatever strikes my fancy and whatever I can convince myself to do at the time. I get overwhelmed by "plans" so I try to stay away from them! I am a member of a few different teams that are doing challenges though and that helps to keep me going. Without them, I just might not have convinced myself to do any cardio and less of the strength training at all.

emoticon

Look forward and hold your head high; don't take the time to look behind.

Who cares where we've been as long as we know where we're going!

My goals:

*To have a happy, healthy 2009
*To stick with Sparkpeople
*To lose 45 lbs in 2009 (to get off the rest of the weight)
*To be 180 or less at the end of my 8-wk battle challenge - GO BLUE TEAM!

Wish me luck and good luck to you all too!

I know there are a couple of couch to 5k teams on the boards already - but when classmates get together for a specific team I do know they have a LOT of success!

Sounds like the plans are getting there - I know I sit every Sunday night, look at my schedule for the week (I travel a LOT for work so lots of changes), and I plan my fitness...it seems to work really well doing it this way.

I've heard a LOT of folks doing the couch to 5K program...

I'm redoing the Couch to 5K program. I did it last year and loved it. So, I'll be running 3 x per week and the other days, I will walk, ride my bike or hit the gym on the elliptical or take a class. I will aim for 5-6 days per week of exercise.
