Total of 9.4 pounds down so far. Not quite a pound a week with this challenge but any weight loss is a good thing. The good news is overall I have lost 25% of the 90 pounds I need to lose. emoticon

I've kind of looked forward to today -- Friday the 13th and all :) -- but so far I'm not liking it. I started the day on a positive note, telling myself the teleconference would be great. Right toward the beginning I was "assigned" something to do (a redo of something I was not involved in creating originally) so I set right to work on it during the call. Then later, something was mentioned by someone that should have been something for me to do, obviously, and yet no one said anything about me doing that. And my part on the agenda is always last, so it's as if it really doesn't matter much. I was asked if I had time to stay after the call to meet with a couple people and I really don't because I'm leaving at noon today. (No, not going to feel guilty about that. I'm just not.)
And to top everything else, my scale was slightly up today. How much else can happen to my formerly hopeful self?

Tomorrow is the second to the last weigh day in this challenge, and I'm already frustrated by not doing very well. Increments on the scale are fine, but too often they don't mean the right things to me.

Weighed in a day early as am leaving shortly for a 2-day conference. Up a bit but I know it's a combination of water weight and little sleep this week. My elderly mother had surgery with complications (she is on the road to wellness now) so I have lived on the hospital salad bar, scurrying around like a crazy woman, no extra exercise except for a yoga class, and a little, low-quality sleep. This next week should be more "normal" so I hope to end this challenge with a loss.

We are approaching the end of this challenge and I'm proud of everyone's progress and their accountability during the weeks when the news was not good. Just showing up to me is success and progress. In the old days we would have just thrown in the towel and given up!

4/14/14: 301 lost of 1 pound (walked 2 miles three time this week, did yard work on Saturday)

It's been at least two weeks since I've posted my progress. I was doing well and on track to post a loss last week but didn't make it to the gym on weigh-in day and haven't been since. Haven't been eating as well as I'd like, either, for the past week.
I'm posting now for accountability and encouragement. I don't know whether it's encouragement I need or something else, but it sure can't hurt and maybe it will help inspire me to get back on track on my journey.

Feel like I am breaking out of this plateau, finally. The scale is moving. Had a great run yesterday for my 10k. Did not have anything close to a PR and stopped to provide medical assist to a young runner that added 2 minutes to my time. It was hot out there - if you are out running or walking - remember to hydrate!

I was out of town last week for a HS graduation so was not able to weigh myself. I kept the weight from the week before at the nurses clinic. When I got on the scale this morning I am down 2.6 pound!! I'm so excited but it has been my hard work and saying no to eating out all week. I'm glad I made the Indian Vegetable Stew on Monday morning. That has been my goto meal this week.

I stayed the same this week. Not as good as losing but it is better than a gain. Total of 8.8 pounds down so far. Not doing as well on this challenge but any weight loss is a good thing.

The Yo Yo begins...uggg. Treadmill yes, but not everyday, walk a mile with hubby after supper one day this week uggg. Its the snacking after supper that is effecting my goal! uggg I joined a Jailhouse break challenge for Saturday with my daughter and daughterinlaw. This is my first ever!

emoticon Just checking in. My weigh in day is Friday and while I hope to get my1 pound this week, .5 pounds will give me 25% loss of the 90 pounds I need to lose.

Looking forward to seeing what the scale brings. Even if it doesn't happen, I still have had a good week. Ate on plan and stepped up my exercise.

Sherry, thanks for the encouragement! I finally lost 1 whole pound and my poor body knows it! LOL will I make the goal of a pound a week.....NO.....Will I keep on trying.....YES! Every little bit helps!

JEANKNEE, congratulations on staying with your plan and making it work for you. You are inspiring!

PAMSPRECHER1, I've been there (not too long ago either) so I can kind of understand the frustration. Sometimes all I could do is tell myself that I know I can do better. Those 180s are not very far away, trust me!

To COMMIT2BFIT4ME, JAISON60, TERESAERWIN1, FISHERMIK, JUST2OFUS and the rest of our team: staying with it IS really hard, but when you see success, it's so worth it!

I admit that nothing is as helpful for me as entering my food and drink in MyFitnessPal.com I have immediate feedback of my good and not-so-good decisions. I can congratulate or encourage myself mentally almost right away.

My weigh ins are on Monday mornings!
3/31/14: 300
4/7/14: 302 gain of 2 pounds (bad week)
4/14/14: 301 lost of 1 pound (walked 2 miles three time this week, did yard work on Saturday)
4/21/14: 304 gain of 2 pounds (I know what it is! My wife made my favorite cookies-oatmeal!
4/28/14: 304 no gain no loss! stayed the same!
5/8/14: 304 no gain - scale was tampered by grand kids! The joke is on Grandpa! ha ha
5/12/14: 304 no gain no loss
5/19/14: 308 gain of 4 pounds :(
5/26/14: 309 gain of 1 pound :(
6/2/14: 305.5 lost 3 1/2 pounds!!! It's the bread! I didn't eat bread and went fishing for 4 hrs.

I got discouraged when the scales started going the wrong direction even though I was sticking to the recommended calorie & sodium range & drinking the recommended amount of water so I haven't checked in for a while. I had a long talk with myself about adding in more exercise and get myself back on track today...ready to move that scale in the other direction! Congrats to all who have been so successful with this challenge!!
