Sorry - a little late getting in to post my weight! I get home from work about midnight and on Tuesday nights sometimes SparkPeople work on their maintenance so the site was really slow and I just went to bed instead. LOL something I need to do more of, more sleep, less computer!

Did OK the first week. I weigh in on Sundays so I started at 203.8 on 12/30 and was at 202.5 on 1/6. Here we go. I know that exercise is the key for me. When I lose, it keeps me motivated to get er going.

I am joining a bit late. I thought about not joining at all because my weight has been disappointedly stable since summer after losing 30 pounds. That changed over December. Although it shows a loss of .6 this week, I technically was down 1 pound because I didn't show the exact weight of 249.4 as my starting weight. I'll take the extra .4

Wii Fit says I'm down to 225 this morning. I was really indulgent around Christmas and New Year's, and I put back on some pounds that I had previously lost. In truth I am down only one pound from where I was prior to Christmas. But on 31st and 1st, I weighed and both scales said I was at 231. This included the one at Publix and my Wii Fit. My feeling is that this weight was likely water weight gain. But I think taking off weight from this point won't be miraculous at all! It will be careful eating and tracking, pushing water, and getting in fitness minutes.

13 week~13 pound challenge

So, first week was not good. I had a loss as of yesterday, but ate badly yesterday and came up with a gain. I have increased my exercise, which is one thing I need to do. I will get back to tracking 100%of my intake and keep on with the exercise. Hope to see a loss next week.

January 1 - 215 lbs - Starting weight
This challenge got me right back on track in January. I'm not sure I would have gotten to it as quickly as I did without this challenge. Thanks everyone!

I too gained a pound but it won't show on my tracker YET because I only change that on the first of the month. Not overly upset by the gain - my weight bounces a lot.

I gained a pound - wrong way, Corrigan!!! Grant me the courage to change the things I can.

% ) today's weight - 211... well I don't know how to do this challenge thing and it looks like my weight stayed the same, but I am pretty sure I weighed 210 last week - oh I'll get it sorted out.

I want to maintain my weight. I did lose 8 ounces but I am just starting maintenance and getting use to it. I don't want to go below 130.

1/7: I gained! :( We moved to our winter home in an RV park in AZ last week. Too much partying and too many Happy Hours. I've got to start disciplining myself. Exercise isn't the problem; I walk our dog about 3 miles nearly every day. I'm going to have to start tracking my food.

I used portion control, & ate 3 meals & 2 snacks. Plus I fought the urge to weigh daily.

A few people are eager to post their progress, and I've thought about it with a lot of input from other members. Here is a thread just to put your weigh-in after being in the challenge for 5-7 days. Let's put our weight here.

We'll keep the other thread the top sticky topic for to chat about progress or anything else. We'll leave it there because, believe it or not, people are still discovering that first email and joining the challenge! FYI, everybody, it is not too late to join the challenge.

I'm so glad a lot of people are in the challenge, and I am not too caught up in rules. If you don't post your weight, it's okay. Posting your progress is motivating for some, a downer for others. The most important thing we should all focus on is to get off the weight. This is the first challenge I have ever participated in let alone administered, so my laissez faire attitude might show. I think the fewer rules, the better. In my opinion, the best part of the challenge is the sense of community as we all have united to lose the weight with the support of each other.

I hope all 409 of the people I have heard from will come to this thread and report their weight whether you have lost or not. I will post mine on Tuesday.
