i'm not as physical fit as most here so my walking is not that far yet. i have some health problems that i'm currently seeing the lung dr. about. hopefully i will get the results after the stress test is done on the 18th of this month. i have the dumb bells witch only weigh 2lbs each so i will start using them whenever i do my walks. so far my walks aren't but just about 1/2 a mile but after i do that test i hope i can do more.

Played 75 minutes of doubles tennis last night -- boy, do I love tennis -- and so far, today, have done 30 minutes of stretching and 30 minutes of aerobic. Aiming for more before the day ends... Wish I could play tennis tonight but the fieldhouse we use is closed and it's been raining most of the day, so the outdoor courts will be wet. Pooh.

Wow...I'm impressed. Great job ya'll.
I walked 2 miles two times yesterday.
I was curious about walking with the dumbbells; what is the purpose of that? Do you just hold them? I have arm and leg weights but my doctor told me not to use them when walking only in floor routines as they can cause problems. I wasn't sure what problems he meant, but I did quit using them. I wonder now why he said they could hurt me. I didn't see where they helped or hurt me, but took his advice.

Ok all of you who are having gorgeous weather - let's all get out & walk! I bet we forget how long we are walking because we are looking at green sprouting, hearing birds, etc.

I do 30 minutes on the treadmill, but this week I am increasing my speed.

I keep my "must do" to ten minutes a day, but am trying for at least 30 minutes. I find my total steps are creeping up - averaging over 6000 now, possibly 7000. My goal is to get to a consistent 10,000 in March. The warmer weather helps!
