You're welcome, Poindextra!

This morning I had a cup of ginger green tea. Blueberries & blackberries were among my breakfast foods and dandelion greens, collards, spinach, avocado and turmeric ginger spice protein powder are among my lunch foods. Felt the need for a strong kick of greens today.

Yes! Onward with our experiments of one!

Thanks, Jeanne!
The dietician remarked that I eat a lot of anti-inflammatory foods, and she liked that I put turmeric and ginger in my weekday lunches. Onward with my Experiment of One!

POINDEXTRA. I'm smiling thinking about your visit with the dietician and your stellar diet. I just knew she was going to find you a delight!

You already know that I'm a huge berry fan. And, like Gloria, the berries really support reduced inflammation levels. The berries, leafy greens and curcumin (from turmeric) are my big three anti-inflammatory fighters.

Also, I have to be really careful with banana because they constipate me. It's best for me to load up on greens to boost my potassium/magnesium levels. And, things like dark chocolate, avocado, nuts, flax and fatty fish are better regular magnesium sources for me than banana. Although, I need to be careful with the dark chocolate too since it can also be constipating for me.

Glad you have the support from the dietician to tease this out and hope a PT tune-up will help support your back. Take care!

P.S. Beans and dairy are also good magnesium sources. But, both of those foods are presently off-limits for me due to food sensitivities / intolerances.

Thanks, Gloria. I also realized that I've been taking Aleve the past few days and constipation can be a side effect of NSAIDs - hence extra poor throughput lately. I need to call my PT for a tuneup since I tweaked my back - I guess I got a little overzealous with my Yoga!

Poindextra, I have been working on the berries too. I think they are really helping me keep my inflammation levels down.

Surprising, since throughput has been very poor the past 2 days.

The dietician said my diet was stellar:), and gave me a few tweaks to try. The first (after I finish my prepared snacks for the week) will be to replace banana with berries.

Maintenance Lessons Learned:
-go on with the healthy lifestyle learned in weight loss phase
-just add healthy foods gradually to stop losing
-work out every day - 30-60 minutes is enough to maintain weight and good mood
-do not try to balance overeating by extreme workouts, it is not going to work
-avoid overeating, instead of satisfaction you get stronger cravings

I got off to a bad start by forgetting to log the very first weigh in. So...I'll be unofficial for the whole challenge. I'm still using the Hacker's Diet Online and still taking Wednesday's reading.

I also managed to miss posting before 10/1. Oh well. I'm out anyway.

****

I am using the Hacker's Diet Online ("How to lose weight and hair through stress and poor nutrition," and not to be confused with the myriad other Hacker's Diet web sites) web site to calculate my trending weight. I will use the reading for the Wednesday of each week as the official weight for this challenge, regardless the day I post or how many times or what days I weigh myself during the week.

Target weight: 126 (range: 122.22-129.78)

Week 1 : Wed 09/04/2019 - 125.5
Week 2 : Wed 09/11/2019 - 125.5
Week 3 : Wed 09/18/2019 - 125.5
Week 4 : Wed 09/25/2019 - 125.3

Week 6 : Wed 10/09/2019 - 125.8
Week 7 : Wed 10/16/2019 -

Maintenance Lessons Learned:
-go on with the healthy lifestyle learned in weight loss phase
-just add healthy foods gradually to stop losing
-work out every day - 30-60 minutes is enough to maintain weight and good mood
-do not try to balance overeating by extreme workouts, it is not going to work
-avoid overeating, instead of satisfaction you get stronger cravings

Have seen a number of scale weights this week that came up and out of the scream weight lows. However, I suspect this is primarily due to multiple restaurant meals this week and higher than usual sodium intake with 4 of 7 days exceeding the recommended daily intake. So, we shall see if the trend will continue to climb or fall as typical eating patterns return.

POINDEXTRA,

Isn't intuition wonderful?! I cannot help but think that the dietician is going to appreciate working with you. Clueless you are not! You've given attention and care to your situation and I'm sure having information to share will be appreciated.

Best to you and happy to hear the trend is better and you're feeling less uncomfortably bloated.

In the last 14 days, all but 2 weights have been below trend. Hooray! My issue remains, but I'm less uncomfortably bloated.

I changed my planner back to weight loss mode. I entered that I want to be back to 115 by the end of the year, and it gave me a calorie target of 1300 to 1550. I had been eating 1700 before my issues began, but in the last 14 days have been mentally targeting 1500. It feels good that my intuition was spot on.

Dietician on Tuesday. I need to fill out the intake form today and see what Weightgtapher and Sparky reports I can print for her.
