As our challenge comes to a close, the scale weights ranged from 115.2 to 116.4 during the final week. The average of the scale weights during the final week was 115.8.

Over the nine-week period scale weights have ranged from 114.2 to 116.6. The average of the scale weights over the nine-week period was 115.4.

Scale weight fluctuations were 2.1% … within my goal of 3.0%. The maximum deviation of the challenge average (based on Hacker’s Diet Trend Weight average of 115.47) was - 0.32% which was outside my *ideal* goal range of +/- 0.25%; but, within the cautionary range of +/- 0.50%.

This marks the completion of my 25th maintenance challenge. As far as steadiness goes, this was one of my better challenges. There are 7 challenges that were better with maximum challenge average deviations less than the 0.32% seen this time.

Tomorrow, we move on to our next challenge.

Daily weights ranged from 162.8 to 169. It's trended up late in the week, not sure exactly why. Running has been a bit disrupted, but not that much. Mostly, for a few days I haven't been hydrating as heavily as I normally do. So maybe I'm retaining more sodium and water weight. *shrug* It will probably take care of itself after the holidays stop disrupting my routine.

Wow, last weigh in for this challenge! My actual weights have held pretty tightly this past week with ranges from 138.0 to 139.8 - for me that is pretty good as I tend to have wild swings. Actually, I fully expected my actual to be up this morning and was rather surprised to see it where it was - I ate Mexican food and lots of candy yesterday - the candy might still catch up with me but I thought the Mexican was probably salty and I did eat some chips, thus I figured it would be up significantly due to water weight and such.

Poindextra, sorry about the Dexa results, that has to be very upsetting.

POINDEXTRA, Sorry to hear about the disappointing results from the dexa scan.

Following the non-traumatic (no identified cause) pelvic fracture diagnosed in 2015, my dexa scan indicated osteopenia. I have also lost 2" in height. I went into menopause in my 40s. Osteoporosis runs in my family. A younger sibling has already had a total hip replacement and is looking at another total hip replacement. And, none of us have reached our 60s yet. Not good. But, not unexpected, given the family health history.

I understand the disappoint, especially, when one is doing what's been asked of them. It's not easy to swallow.

I've been told that I cannot take walks every day and I am not to ride a bicycle. My fracture risk is apparently too high.

Hi folks,
We're off on our cruise, so I'll have to check the final results when we get back (just in time to log in for the Polar Bear challenge).

I got very disappointing results from my dexa scan this week. In 2 years my spine and total hip has gone from normal to osteopenia, and the femur neck from osteopenia to osteoporosis. And that was with doing all the right things! Now I need to see an endocrinologist. I hope they can find a cause so I can battle this effectively. If any of you have experience to share, I would love to hear it.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

Maintenance is as much work as losing, but it has the advantage of allowing us to do it in cuter clothes - BESSHAILE

The eighth week comes to a close with scale weights ranging from 114.8 to 115.8. The average of the scale weights during the eighth week was 115.3.

Over the eight-week period scale weights have ranged from 114.2 to 116.6. The average of the scale weights over the eight-week period is 115.4.

Scale weight fluctuations are at 2.1% which is within my goal of 3.0%. The maximum deviation of the challenge average (based on Hacker’s Diet Trend Weight) is - 0.31% which is outside my *ideal* goal range of +/- 0.25%; but, within the cautionary range of +/- 0.50%.

Thanks for the reminder, Jeanne. I'll post my last weight on Thursday morning before going on vacation. We timed it perfectly not to miss any challenge weeks:).

Ooops! I need to weigh. I had a good eating day yesterday and should have weighed this morning but got distracted.

I weighed 134.0 at the doctor's office on Monday, but that was fully dressed, after lunch, and on a scale I believe is a little heavy. Will weigh tomorrow. It is a KEY to success. I do best if I weigh every day. Time to do it!!
