Still holding a conversation with myself it seems :-)

Progress is still slow on the holiday challenge. Seems like I get into a nice routine and then get sideswiped by a bus - sick, work, school...always something :-p I think I need to learn to prioritize better.

In positive news, no net weight gain since I started the challenge. But also relatively little net loss. Might be time to kick up the Cardio workouts a few notches higher.

So 1 month down, 1.5 months to go...

I'm not doing as well as I would have liked; however, I did break through that pesky plateau I was stuck on so at least there has been some positive motion :-D

I'm not letting myself get discouraged though - just have to work harder, that's all! I think I need some help with my resistance training though -- I'm having a hard time staying motivated. I get up early every day to do my cardio (30 mins on the elliptical) but I'm not much of a morning person so getting up even earlier to do the resistance training hasn't been working too well. But if I wait till after work it's way too easy to blow it off :-/ Anyone have any ideas on ways to keep myself motivated? Has anyone had any luck trying to do strength stuff in little intervals throughout the day while at work?

So as I was pondering my October "motivation" challenge I realized that I've been very laissez-faire about my weight loss journey lately so I was thinking of challenging myself to do something slightly bigger/harder to keep me focused over the holidays.

Anyone else interested? I'm going to set myself a definite weight goal that is doable but not particularly easy: 20-25 lbs by the end of this year. That's right about 2 lbs per week which is aggressive but not completely unreasonable... hopefully just difficult enough to keep me focused!
