Yeah, what they said!
Seriously, 1) the back of the Brownie Handbook has whole chapter on Bridging to Juniors. Basically, they have learn about Juniors, meet JRs, do a JR badge, learn about Bronze Award, have party/meeting with Jrs. Easy stuff like that.
2) Juniors have badges/awards to work on that require that they help younger girls (like Brownies) so definitely ask your SU for a sister troop.

You might also check with your Service Unit Manager or Field Director, or leaders of troops nearby - there might be a Junior troop that will work with your Brownies - some of their program includes working with the younger girls, so they may be in search of a Brownie troop, too!

No regrets, just lessons learned . . .

In the back of the Brownie Handbook, there is a chapter about Bridging to Juniors that lists the requirements. When Brownie's become Juniors, they automatically "fly-up" and get a pair of wings for their vest. If they meet the bridging requirements, they will also get the bridging rainbow for their vest.

I will have 3rd year brownines this year. i am working on planning out some meetings over the summer to get myself prepared. Is there anything specific they have to do before they bridge to juniors? Like a certain number of badges or anything, or do they just bridge with age? I am more used to how boy scouts works becuase my son is older. Thanks for your help!

Julie
