You can still sign up for this challenge. I am basically going to let people continue to sign up as the biggest loser challenge continues and you will compare you weight from week to week to see if you beat the biggest losers with your percentage weight loss. The biggest losers are weighing in on Saturdays. If you know your weight from this previous week you can put it in as your starting weight and then compare it to your weight tom. Saturday 11/19/11. Otherwise you can weigh in starting on Saturday 11/19/11 or a few days after if you don't read this on time and compare your weight on Saturday 11/26/11. I will send you an email also about how to compare your weights. Let me know if you have any more questions. I will try to respond more promptly. I was just out of town for a few days this week and I just got back.

I think I would be interested in going against the remaining biggest losers. When is the cut off to sign up & when do we start? I want to make sure that I can do it this time:)

Hi, I was just wondering how much time are these walks on the wii taking you? I just started using this video from Leslie Sansone called walk at home its a 3 mile walk thats only 43 minutes and then a belly sculpt anstretch for 10 minutes which is a total 53 minutes for 3 miles with a sculpt an stretch less then an hour its pretty good and you can buys her dvds online for most of them less than $15 and me my mom an sister love them! #just thought you might like it better than the wii.

Week 3 Weigh in - i am changing the deadline on this a little bit because midnight central time is a little late for me to be able to work on calculating all the results to have them posted by Sunday AM. I would like to have everyone post their weight for week 3 by 10PM EST Saturday, 10/1/11. If you know that you can't post on Saturday by this time you should post your weight on Friday so you are not eliminated from the challenge.

My ST days will be M/W/F I did a routine on wii fit on Mon and will do the same wed and fri.. my goal this week was to walk over 2 mi. I did almost 2 miles on Monday and today I did almost 2 and a half miles.. Tomorrow I don't know if I will have time to walk but I will walk thur and friday also. I am having a much better week this week then last..

I didn't set a time because strength training varies so much. Just do a routine (like what SparkPeople recommends in your Fitness tab) and then do cardio on the other days. We are going for establishing routines.

The team that has the most members do 3 days of Strength training this week wins the weekly challenge or advantage. The team that loses the most weight wins bragging rights for the week. The team that comes in last in losing weight will lose 2 members.


So, Red team--how are we doing this week? I ran a mile 2 nights in a row. I plan on doing ST Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.

So my question is this: My baby girl turns 2 on Friday...does that mean that I am out of the challenge since I will have to join the next team up or can I stay until the challenge is over?

No, to update your weight on this team you will have to come to this team and reply to the Weight thread. We can see your ticker--but won't be able to see that unless you post, so for the purposes of this challenge, you will have to update on the appropriate thread.


Also---IF you work out 30 minutes or more on more than 3 days you can count it. Just check the box on the appopriate day. The goal is to do AT LEAST 3 days of 30+ minutes, not just 3 days.

ok i have a question, im new to spark people, therefore, my question is when i weight in on the weight tracker on the home page, does it automatically come to this page? sorry for the crazy questions but im still learning this sparkpeople.

Yes, if you miss a weigh-in you will be kicked off. However, for vacations--I usually tell the person to weigh in right before they leave. You can go to the weigh in thread, click "Edit my post" and put your W1 weight under your starting weight. This puts you at a disadvantage because you won't lose as much weight as what you may have with weighing in on Saturday, but you won't be eliminated. I do not however, encourage any one to weigh in early on a weekly basis, and I like to know in advance so I know what is going on. I will eliminate any one that weighs in late.

Question: in regards to this weeks challenge. Do we track it only once for the whole week, or each time we excercise we track it? Thanks

Answer: The way I set up the goals is a check box. So each time you check the box for a day you are saying you exercised at least 30 minutes that day. So you will need to check the box everyday that you exercise at least 30 minutes a day. A bonus-you will get a Sparkpoint for doing this! emoticon

Please add your team color goal to your goal page. You can do this by going to the bottom of the Parents of Infants (up to age 2) team page. Find your team color and click on "Track Goal." For the rest of the week you can just go under "My Trackers" and click on "Other Goals" and you will see the goal. Click the box when you exercise 30 minutes that day.
The goal for this week is to exercise 30 minutes 3 times this week!!! You have Sunday-Friday to do this!!!

I will be sending out a group message as soon as I have deleted the massive amount of people that didn't weigh in from my address book.

I am sure the weigh in post will be up soon. Once it is there this week it stays and you will be able to post any time on Saturdays..

Point 1: If you click on the FORUM Exercise, Challenges & Wellness it will open a new page that shows all the TOPICs in that FORUM. You cand then see the 4 teams that each have 39 member. Look for your name in my comment on each thread. Once you found your name, that is your team and you will comment in that thread from now on.

Point 2: I have to add all 156 participants to my address book. As soon as I am done doing this I will be sending out the First official message of the Biggest Loser Challenge. This message will include a lot of important information please read it all.

Point 3: Use tonight and Friday to get to know your team. On Saturday we will all be required to post our Starting Weight (I will post instructions on how to do this). Sunday will the be the 1st day of the weekly contest to see which team will get an advantage this week.

Please check this thread often! I will be answering a lot of questions here I am sure.
