This is the first I have had a chance to get on and say a big Congrats to you.. You did a fabulous job and set a great example for us all.. I was very sad to have to miss the final week because of my move and it truely has been a horrific and long week and a half with this move.(read my blog lol) I look forward to staying friends with everyone who inspired and motivated me throughout this game. I worked hard and pushed myself because of all of you. I would like to share that I suprised myself and just weighed in and found that I lost a pound and a half despite the move.. I can't wait to get back on track and keep going on this journey we are all sharing. Sadly it will have to wait a couple more weeks till my my ankle heals. for now I am eating healthy and doing what I can..

I am seriously honored. However, you ladies put a lot of effort and communication into it. For that, you were blessed to find friends, support, and help. I simply got the ball rolling. YOU LADIES took the ball and ran with it. You all made the challenge the success it was.

I know this should probably be a blog, and maybe I'll copy and paste it, but I wanted to make sure you all had the opportunity to read it.

First of all, I am honored to be the "Survivor". I am proud to say that i did take it seriously and that I honestly worked hard and was determined to do my absolute best, not just for the challenge, but because I knew I had to start bettering myself and my choices somewhere and this challenge seemed like as good a place as any.

I have never stuck with anything health or fitness related. I have always had a tummy, even before the bambino, I was a crash dieter, would work out too much too quickly and simply quit. I even quit on Spark. I signed up in February of this year but quickly shied away as I felt overwhelmed, inadequate and just not good enough. Now, let me clarify, that wasn't Spark's fault, it was just another reason for me to find that yet something else didn't work for me.

As I watched my son grow and hoped for a good future for him, I started to think about what I could do to really help implement that better future, and all I could think of was that I needed to set examples. Good positive lifestyle examples that would rub off on him. And then lucky for me, just then, this challenge happened.

Laura, there are not enough words to thank you for organizing and tracking this challenge. I truly hope you know what you did for everyone involved. We all learned things about ourselves, our capabilities and how to challenge ourselves. Without you and your efforts, I probably would still be making excuses and have a blank Sparkpage. But now, my Sparkpage is filled with cathartic blogs, goodies, encouraging comments and supportive friends.

Speaking of friends...
From the beginning the interaction and encouragement among teammates was enough to get me to track eating a banana! Something I had never even contemplated before. Positive words, emoticons and goodies were traded hourly and I so very much appreciate it and I thank you all. And then I made what I would consider to be me first really personal Sparkfriend...MELSBELLS. What can I say? Girl, you rock my world. And yes, we will go to Hawaii together someday once our rockin' hot bods have settled in! And not soon after that I made a real connection with 250KU175. She makes me laugh and GETS me!!

From then on, after connecting with these two women, I went on to make more friends and connections and I found myself truly caring for them and worrying about them rooting for them! Those final 7!! OMG!! We were all going through so much, personally, professionally, domestically, health-wise during that last week, it's a wonder we made it anywhere at all! LOL!!

As for TLWARE9, I am astounded by her perseverance and consistency while raising three kids. I have one who is about to turn 1 and I am exhausted and feel defeated daily! She is one to watch and learn from as she is in fact...SUPERMOM!!! What wonderful company to be in!!

Seriously though, I have come to realize, that SparkPeople can be something different for everyone. This challenge and my success in it have shown me that is a place for me to feel a part of an encouraging community where there is no judgement, just support. And a place where I hope I can reciprocate that encouragement and support.

This was a win for everyone, all around. Cheers, and I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday weekend!
