well looks like we lost Momin09.. =( and we haven't heard from Dragon all week and she hasn't posted a blog yet so I have a feeling we lost her as well. I am really sad.. Lisa its you and me. I really hope we can join the other group it really isn't fair to us and we should not have to vote one of us off either..

Hi Orange 4

I am here sorry I fell off the Earth for a couple days. It has been very gloomy and rainy here and trying to finish my move.. Been a crazy morning already. My oldest is down with the flu and my stepdad who has been helping me just fell down my stairs at the apartment. He is at Urgent care now with either a sprained ankle or a brake.. Yikes...

I did my weigh in and I maintained.. I have been logging my steps everyday and did my blog post. Hoping the rest of the team has also.. I know you have Lisa.. Thank you for keeping our team going for a couple days. You are not in this alone I am here as much as I can be right now.. =)

I am wondering if we loose anyone else this week can we join up with the purple team. I think we need the motivation of more people.. Just my thoughts anyways. Hopefully we don't loose anyone..

Alright ladies, hopefully we all lost or maintained this week, and we got enough points to not go to council. Haven't seen anything from Dragonflies9, hopefully all is well with you.

I got my steps in yesterday, and I weighed myself this morning and at least have maintained. I'm not decided if I'm going to wait until tomorrow for my weigh in or not.

GoofyKimi - i guess next week is going to be hard for you, since you are going to be doing a lot of driving. Good luck! I'll be thinking of you, man, that is a looooong drive.

Momin09, got your note. Thanks! Just keep your chin up and focus on you and being healthy - but I know, easier said than done.

Well, good luck everyone...

Good morning! Are you girls still out there? I know, it's a busy week for most of us. I am going to take Jacob to the pool before lunch / naptime today, so he has a good morning of being outside and swimming. We have to make up for the crappy weather yesterday. Also, I'm getting my core exercises in now, before he gets up. Then, it's off to the step counting. I've got about 600 so far, just with all the walking around in the morning to do all the things I need to do. I'm really excited about getting some good exercise in next week, with my "alone" time! I know that could seem wrong, but I just need some me time to exercise, and it's so hard here in this tiny living room. I'm going to use the treadmill every day next week. That's my goal :)

Hi guys! I'm having a down day, not getting my steps in, not getting exercise other than my core stuff this morning. I almost feel like I'd be cheating if I put 10000 steps down today, but I did get over 9000 in plus the core exercises. Do you think it would be?

Anyhow, I feel like my time of the month is coming on, I've been achy in my back, and not as much energy. The good thing is I didn't start scarfing down food like I usually do, so maybe it will be okay for weigh in this weekend. My husband and I both got up about 1 1/2 hours earlier than normal, so I'm just wiped today. I did make a chicken tenderloin salad for dinner, so I feel good about what I ate today. I'm just not having a great day I guess. Hope you all did better than me, and I know, tomorrow is another day!

Well, I decided with 20 minutes exercise plus the steps, I didn't have any problem putting down 10000 steps. Today is going to be a great day though.

Hi there team. GK - I feel the same way. I've got 12417 yesterday, and mine also does miles. I just can't remember it by the time I type here. And it's the same thing. I'm still adjusting it some, so my numbers could change a little, but it seemed really good yesterday when I checked it. I also swam for 20 minutes last night, while Jeff played with Jacob in the pool. Hope you guys are all having a great day.

I'm feeling a little frustrated this week, because I haven't lost any weight, and I know that I won't just by doing my normal walking each day. I have to do more. Swimming will help, but I really need to get some good exercise in. I also am disappointed because even though I have lots of "steps" it really doesn't seem to be doing anything. I know Laura told me her conversion was off (60 minutes really equals about 10000 steps, but she told us 20, so we are using that...) but it just seems like it's a false reporting and getting our hopes up. Those of you doing some good cardio, I'm so jealous. I can't do a lot of jumping around in the apartment, as the people downstairs will complain. I'm thinking about doing some Wii boxing or tennis today, that's moving, but hopefully it won't be too bad. Well, talk with you all later, hope it's a great day.

Hi Everyone.. Over 11,000 steps today and an hour of Zumba.. First time trying it.. Wow.. feel good but very tired. My pedo keeps steps and miles and my steps equal 4 1/2 miles of walking. Thats crazy when you think i was basically just doing my normal day to day stuff..

Hi everyone. I'm putting down my steps as of now (2pm) and then I'll clear my counter and do it again for the rest of the day. I have 6971 so far, but I haven't done any other stuff yet today. I just put Jacob down for his nap, and I'm going to do an hour or so of work then I'll do some exercises. I think we will probably go back to the pool tonight, so at least that will be some more exercise today too.

I should have known with how emotional I am.. My TOM started today.. I caved in to some cravings today and snacked a bit more then I have been lately. I also didn't do a walk. But even with my normal moving around and cleaning the apartment I did over 10,000 steps.

Our first moving pod is all packed and ready to be picked up tomorrow. We had alot more stuff then we realized and had a second one dropped off today. It will get filled this weekend and is picked up on Tues which is also the day I leave for my drive across country. This is my final week in NJ.. Trying to make sure I make time for my oldest to see his friends before we go and enjoy my last few days also. Dinner on the beach Thur if weather is nice. Friday night a friend is taking me out to dinner at a pasta place so I may weigh in Friday morning again. Or I just need to trust myself and know that even at a Pasta place I can control myself lol.

Have a Happy Wed tomorrow..

Hi team! I logged 12490 steps on my pedometer today, just normal activity for me, and swam for 40 minutes with Jacob. I log it as 20 minutes though, because it's not really 40 minutes of me moving around. His new thing is to jump into the water, going completely under. Most of the time he shuts his mouth, but sometimes he doesn't. He basically did this for 40 minutes. He jumps and splashes and I catch him. I also did about 20 minutes of core exercises this morning. The bad thing that happened today was I got hit by a rock when I was driving down the road, and it shattered our rear window. Thank goodness it wasn't Jacob's window, but it scared the crap out of me. I panicked, and didn't stop right away, so I couldn't be sure who did it. So, now we have to buy a window and my husband will put it in over the weekend. I guess I'm super fortunate that he's such a car guy, and can fix just about anything. We very rarely take our car to the garage for anything.

Hope you all had a great day!

Hi Orange 4

I am having a very stressful week with this being my final week in NJ and I am busy with the last of the packing and cleaning etc.. I just drowned my stress a few mini chocolate doughnuts and now I feel miserable.. Moving on past it though and decided to post my blog to inspire and motivate me.. I will eat great the rest of the day and am not going to worry about it.

I will be strong. I must be strong.. I am doing to good to sabatoge myself at this point.. Extra long walk tonight should help.. =)

Hi ladies - hope you all have a great day. Don't forget to do your blogs this week (we can't afford to lose anyone due to council...) I got confirmation from Laura to convert the minutes to steps, so I did. She said it's not quite 20 minutes equals 10000 steps, but since that is what she told us to do, just convert it that way. So, lets get our exercise in. I'm planning on doing between 20 to 40 minutes per day, plus add the steps. If we all have pedometers, we can do the same. Count your exercise minutes plus your steps, and we'll rock rock rock.

Let's have a great Tuesday :)

today I did 20 minutes of core workout, plus got my pedometer and started tracking at 1pm. I did 8804 steps from that point on, so I'm sure I got well above 10,000 in today. I'll continue to track with that, plus whatever other exercising I do. Go orange 4!

Didn't make it to the big class tonight. Had way to much to still do for the move and was feeling very stressed about it all. So I did several loads up and down stairs and then did a 20 min mile walk.. Got my steps in and feel good that I pushed myself

absolutely. The more excersise the more it helps you. The 10 min a day they recomend is just a starting place. You have to increase excersise and decrease calories etc as you loose. I am definetly at a place where I needed to increase my excersise. Since I upped that last week I lost again and feel better too.I forgot to put my pedometer on this morning but since I am doing that class tonight I am not worried. I am worried about doing the class. I am very uncordinated and my stamina is not great but I promised my friend I would go and give it a great try and laugh at myself and have fun with it. Anything is better then nothing. I love using my pedometer. I was really surprised how much I walk during my ordinary day..
I also was surprised how much drinking my water really made a difference also. When I have a day that i don't drink 6-8 glasses I feel bloated and crappy..

I am really glad I have been walking and excersising or I would not have done well at Hershey park on Saturday with all the hills. I barely got winded going up them and my legs didn't hurt at all. Starting to realize why loosing the weight is necessary for a healthier me.

Good luck with your class. I bought a pedometer today, and am working out the kinks with setting the stride correctly, etc. I will be logging what I walk today, plus the additional exercise I do. I think the more we do, the better off we will be, right?

Goofykimi - I know, but what if I'm doing minutes? I'll check on that, but yesterday, I did 40 minutes of exercise, I don't have a pedometer to track steps at all. I'm going to look at getting one today, but for yesterday and today, it will only be what I track for minutes.

I'm thinking about getting a pedometer. So, when you track that, how did you do it? the tracking she set up asks for minutes of fitness.

I don't know who is in and who is out, but whoever the final four are on our team, we really need to pump each other up! We CAN stay out of council, I know we can!

Great Monday team, let's rock it

I don't have a pedometer but I'm pretty sure that I got my 10,000 steps in. I did something to my back yesterday and so it hurts to sit in one place too long. Been walking around to help it out.
I'm hoping to get into the chiropractor tomorrow to see if he can fix what's going on with my back.

HI to our tiny team.
I had an extremely busy day.. Did the last big push to get everything out of the apartment that needed to go into the moving pod.. It gets picked up Wed then I can relax for a few days before we leave for our drive cross country.

I did almost 15,000 steps today. If I add everything together today including my walk I did over 6 1/2 miles of walking. Thought I did good yesterday with the 4 1/2 I did at Hershey park.
I am definetly feeling the pain though from the busy days. I have plantar fatiatius and my foot is hurting alot tonight. Now that i have my shoe off I can barely step on it. But like usual it will feel better after resting it all night. I refuse to let it stop me from reaching my goals. Lets work hard to motivate each other this week. I really don't want to see us loose anyone else.
I am rewarding myself at the end of the week with a pedicure and manicure if I loose another 2 pounds.
Have a great week and stay strong. We can do it.. I would say watch for my blog in a a day or two. Gotta think about what to write. =)

Hi orange team. Don't know who is in and out yet, but I figured I would post my exercise for today. We had a great Father's day. Hope you all did too!

I did a couple of walks with Jacob today, totaling about 20 minutes, and also did 20 minutes of core exercise. Today was my light day for the week. I'm planning on doing some treadmill time this week since I can go down to the complex gym (like 4 pieces of equipment) and I'm also going to try to swim every night with Jeff and Jacob. Good luck in week 6

Good morning Team Orange! I weighed myself today, and yay, I lost 1 lb. What a week. In the middle of the week, I was positive that there was no way I was going to make it. But, a couple days of back to eating right and exercising other than moving boxes has helped.

I am so glad to see most of you maintained or lost! Sadly, I have gained. I was very sick this week and wasn't able to apply myself as much as I wanted to. I will still be leading the challenge, but won't be on a team. :(

I am so sorry to let you wonderful ladies down. I feel like I have the flu. My legs, arms, and even my hair hurts to be touched. Hopefully though this is a bug that will go away very soon. Good luck to all of you!

Hi there orange team - I know most of you guys weighed in and lost or maintained, great job. I'm crossing my fingers for tomorrow. I just finished my 40 minutes pilates / yoga workout, then when Jacob gets up we are going to unload the last load of stuff from the car, I'll run to the store, and then it's whatever for the rest of the night. Either a playground trip or something like that. We'll see what happens tomorrow!

HI team! Sorry I have been MIA for the past couple weeks, only really getting on to record challenges and weight last week. This week has been brutal, working massive amounts of overtime at work so I thought best to not even attempt the challenge this week - hoping it will not come back to haunt me. I have been working 7am-6pm and half hour lunches all week. I am pleased that I have not gained. I stayed the same but am thankful that I did not gain! I will record my weight this morning and will try to check in for the results later tomorrow! Hope we all did ok this week!

Yay Nicole! I'm putting of weighing until the last possible minute because I know it's not going to be pretty. I'm guessing I'll be gone, but I'm going to try to get some good stuff in today and tomorrow morning before weighing in. Right now, I'm cleaning the apartment while Jacob plays with trucks.

Funny little side note. We have boxes of stuff everywhere that the movers wouldn't take, and there are a few boxes of food left, mostly spices and baking stuff and the things I don't use every day. Not sure where to put them. Anyhow, I was in the kitchen cleaning up the breakfast dishes, and Jacob handed me a bag clip. I put it away, just figuring that it was laying in the other room or something. Anyhow, we were in there for a while, and I finally was going to go out into the living room / dining area, and he followed me. I think he wanted to see my face. He had taken the clip off an almost full bag of mini marshmallows and thrown them around the floor. I looked at it, he looked at me, and said "messy". What are you going to do? I suppose it could have been worse. He could have found the flour and got the lid off or something like that. Marshmallows were easy to pick up.

Oh well, everyone have a great day and good luck on the weigh ins!

Hi everyone. I apologize, but we have been off line and moving the last two days. I wasn't able to get on here at all yesterday. I did exercise a lot on Wednesday and yesterday, considering all of the packing and loading I did. I have been sick with a sinus infection, Jacob has an ear infection, and we have stuff everywhere.

The good news is that we are all in one place now (my husband, son, cat and I) and we are going to work out an exercise schedule. But, I'm concerned that I gained some weight this week. I have until Sunday, and I'll probably wait until then to weigh in. The pizza and easy to get food we have been eating while we had no furniture, etc, is enough.

I'm sorry everyone feels we aren't doing a good job of motivating each other. I'm not sure what we should start doing. Hopefully we don't lose anyone this week - I'm going to try my best not to gain anything and be kicked off automatically.

For those of you going away this weekend, have a great time!

This must be the weekend to go away. Connor and I are heading to a wedding tomorrow so we'll be gone most of the day. I'm going to get my 10 min (at least) and weigh in done before we leave.

I agree about the motivating. I think that when we were in 4 teams, our team was much better about motivating and talking about things other than just workouts.

I am looking forward to starting my workouts with my personal trainer on Thursday. We met on Wednesday to do the initial fit testing and just to meet and get an idea of what I was looking for. She's going to give me my workout plan on Thursday. Then we are going to meet every Thursday during the summer. I hope this is the motivation I need to stop my yo-yo weight gain/loss.

Good luck everyone on their weigh-ins!

GOOFYKIMI have fun this weekend! We are going out of town also - my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary celebration is tomorrow! I meant to weigh in this morning but forgot in the rush - so I will probably weigh in Sunday morning instead.

Momin09 how adorable.. I love hearing stories about silly things other people's kids do..
MomofboysinMO I hope you start feeling better soon. Please take care of yourself.

I just thought that this weeks challenge would get us talking more but all most of our group is doing is just posting their exersise. I think that defeats the purpose of the challenge. I went on Purples page to post a congrats on doing so well last week and they really help each other out. One person even posts a weekly music link to help motivate.. They are obvisously doing something right since they didn't lose more then 1 or 2 people and we lost half.

I had to weigh in today since we are going to Hershey Park early tomorrow. I lost 2 pounds this week.. I am at 245.. So proud of myself. I worked extremely hard this week and am going to keep it up. I will check in at some point tomorrow and will be getting lots of excersise walking around staring at candy I am not going to eat.. lol.

So, I heard a funny story about my son last night. DH and I went out with some friends to a Comedy Club. Since my mom watches Connor on Fridays, she said she would just watch him overnight. I checked in with her after the Comedy Club. She was telling me about his adventures from the night. There are some back neighbors of my parents that have 3 young girls (I think the oldest is in 5th grade and the youngest is in Kindegarten) that adore Connor. They were all playing between the 2 yards while my mom was on the deck. The girls went into their house. My mom saw Connor walk that way and thought he was just going to knock on the window for them to come back out, but since their back door was still opened, he just walked right in. I'm friends with the Mom on Facebook and she was telling me how funny it was that she came in from the other room and there was my curly haired boy standing there. She said he followed the girls in and shut the door behind him. LOL.
Thought I would share something other than exercising. And thought it was too funny of a story not to share.

Kimi--I wish we had more interaction too. I am tired and sick. I am slowly losing all energy to do anything at all. Even come on here. I wish the doctors would figure out what is wrong with me.

I know I've been bad about just putting my exercise on - I was doing good and then I started slacking! We went for a walk tonight and picked raspberries again then I came in and did some wii super hula hoop - that was a little rough!

Made it past the half way mark for the week. Lets finish strong.. I have excersised and posted everyday so far.. Things were getting a bit boring for me so I changed up my fastbreak goals. Want to push myself a bit more. I have worked really hard this week on the excersise and I feel like it is showing. I have so much energy it is wonderful. Will check in with my excersise progress later tonight. Have a great day.

You can buy an inexpensive step pedometer that also tracks mileage. I use mine all the time in the mall. I walk the mall alot when it is hot, cold or raining to much. Or when my son screams as we pass by the mall like today. He is at the age where he recognizes places we frequent often. Mcdonalds, Perkins and the mall lol..

I had a very active day and feel like I am about to crash for the night. Going to bed early.
