To be on my team I have to invite you via email. You will have to send me a sparkmail with an email address for me to send the request. You can set up an account before or use the link in my invitation to sign up.
Anyone can sign up and start getting rewards for their exercise. When you sign up for the website you pick a reward that you can work towards. They have lots. You can also create a "Resolution Team". With 10 team members each earning 500 points and you earning 1000 points you earn a free fitbit. Each team member increases the savings. The teams have to be created by Jan 14. They don't say but I think that includes the 14th. They have already extended the deadline so they might do it again. Also they allow you to log many different kinds of exercise. Don't think you have to run or walk to do this.

Yes, I agree with DEMIKIT. I always log my exercise on SP first. That way I can ensure my diet and my exercise are in balance. I also want to get Raleigh #1 on SparkAmerica. There are other websites where you can earn rewards for exercising. My favorites are earnedit and nexercise. I posted them here:

I think that this is a great idea! I will also add that I was looking at the city fitness totals, and we really aren't that far behind the next couple of cities in front of us. So let's go Raleigh, even one or two people moving is going to help push us higher in the city ranking too!! So if you do this, then be sure you log your exercise on SP too!

And Larry, quick question, do we need to have the EveryMove account set up before you invite us? Can you give us a rundown of how it works?

I am working on earning a free fitbit on Everymove. How it works is you create a team of people and each member tracks their exercise. The team has until Jan 26 to earn as much points as they can. The more people in the team the easier it is to earn it. You have to set up your team before Jan. 14. I have 9 slots available. You can also start your own team and the points you earn counts for both teams. If you are interested in this great way to motivate exercise send me a message. I will need an email account to invite you to my team. Lets get motivated!
