VB13RULES - There is no apology needed, the challenges are just to help people out. If you are super busy then it is not helping you out to add more things to your to do list.

Hey gals! It looks like week three is treating us all better! I concur on the "anything counts" comments Wildflower made. Often I use gardening as my work out because I spend a lot of time out there pulling weeds, picking produce and cleaning up dog poop with a shovel. haha.

I also believe i owe JENNIK a big apology. Due to my crazy schedule prepping for my daughter's homeschool, which starts next week, and finishing my novel and all the cooresponding parts to begin submitting it to agents and publishers, I just haven't been able to keep up on the challenge you posted in our awesome sparkteam. :(

JENNIK2, sounds like you've been quite a busy bee! Two parties in one week and I would have been down for the count. Hope they went well.

When I'm out running around, I use it as my fitness time. I will park as far away from the store as I can, If no one is in the same aisle as I am, I will do a couple of lunges holding on to the cart. If someone perhaps catches me, I smile and say, "hey, you gotta do what you gotta do."

It usually makes a person smile. I may feel goofy but I'm working towards goals so anything counts emoticon

I've had a really busy week, and my exercise time has become my running around doing errands for my 2 year old's birthday party and a baby shower. But I have no parties to put on now, so the exercising will be better.

Hey gals! Thanks for responding and holding me accountable to do the same!

My suggestion for the either or scenerio is to set mini goals and mini rewards for reaching them. Not only does this help you get small confidence boosts, but it also creates better habits.

I have the same problem! It's like I can't do both at the same time. Very frustrating.

It seems like I can get my eating good, but then my exercise fall away OR my exercising is good but my eating becomes poor. Does anyone else have this issue?

I changed my 1st goal to no snacking instead of no eating. Sometimes if it's a super busy day I may eat dinner after the kids go to bed at 8. But my problem is eating snacks after I've had dinner.

My goals are:
- No snacking after 8pm - A
-Stay in my allotted calories - D
-Exercise everyday for at least 20 minutes - B

I am definitely doing this challenge! I started on the 1st with the hopes of getting back on track.

My goals are:
To stop mindlessly snacking all day
To eat healthier meals
Start adding exercise back into my everyday routine (10 minute increments to start)
To get to a point where I don't have to squeeze myself into my jeans
Be all around happier with myself and my choices

I am not doing the back on track challenge, but it is a great idea. This is a great idea to help me stay accountable.

Hey everyone! I am taking the #backontrack challenge sparkpeople.com is issuing starting tomorrow, and was wondering if anyone else on the team is also doing it?

My goals:
- Getting my calorie intake back down between suggested guidelines. The extra snack each day has to go!
- Try to push two more workouts/ runs back into each week.
- Although I have held steady at 190 lbs, I want to get my metabolism back up and drop the second half of the total weight goal I have had for months.
- Drink 8+ glass of water a day.

What are your goals for the month of August? What summer habits do you need to break, and which healthy habits need bolstered? Be honest with yourself!

Let's do this together! If you want to participate, respond below. Then check in twice weekly with the following format and tell us how your week went, grading yourself from F to A+ on each item. At the end of August, I will hand out sparkgoodies to the three people who responded the most regularly and got the best report cards!
