If hormone imbalance is the cause of your weight gain vitamins like chromium and biotin do not help. Atleast in my experience. I'm not sure about other vitamins.

See another doctor. Internal or general med practitioners aren't always educated in the area of PCOS and weightloss. Make an appointment to see an Endocrinogist specifically one who specializes in weightloss if possible. This was the only way I got properly diagnosed and put on meds. Diet and exercise by themselves didn't work for me. I ended up gaining 78 pounds over a 10 year period. I am now down 11 pounds and counting. Don't give up.

Chromium didn't help me much, but it has helped others. I've never tried the other supplements you have listed here.

Get a different doc soon. If your doc does not understand PCOS they will not help you at all. There are several good books listed on this team as well. Not sure where they are listed, but somewhere in the feed.

Good luck.

So, my doc doesn't want to put me on metformin. She says I can do this with diet and exercise.
I guess she doesn't have PCOS eh? ha ha

I've been eating very low carb for a couple of years now. Eating healthy, clean diet for many years and I seriously love to workout. So, I just keep slowly gaining weight anyhow. There is diabetes in my family. Perhaps it is just a matter of time before I finally have to stick needles in me???

So, I've decided rather than wait for the diabetes to creep in, I am going to try some natural supps (If that doesn't work I will try a different doctor. But I'm in a rural area, and it will be a challenge to find a new one or a long travel)

I want to try Ovasitol; this is a combination of inositol and d-chiro-inositol. I've heard positive things about these...

I also want to try glucofit and chromium picolinate.

Has anyone tried any of this?
Has anyone tried these together?
Please let me know your thoughts.
