That's what the eucalyptus granules do. the ants have a protective wax coating on their body and the salt or asks will melt. the eucalyptus will last longer and is also natural

I've heard that sprinkling salt around the foundation of your home works. Apparently, they won't cross it.

i had the same problem. they sell ant barrier granuals. they are made from eucaliptus. you sprinkle them around the outside of the house. that part will only help a little. do you have a crawl space under the house. what i do is just before spring i use a small can of fogger in the crawl space. i then re-treat the area mid summer and once again in the fall. you can buy a box of 3 or 4 cans of raid fogger from home depot. if i don't do that i will be over run with ants big and small.

This happened last summer as well. Those stupid little sugar ants are everywhere, the floor, the counters, the cupboards the table and they crawl all over me whenever I sit down. I have traps of boric acid and sugar water but I am ready for some raid at this point! Any suggestions?
