JUSTBEA1 - I felt the same as you the first time I did this. The program is designed to gradually increase both the time you run between walks, and your overall time spent running until you can run for 30 minutes straight. It's a little intimidating to think about it. Even having done it before, I'm going at higher intensity now and wondering if I'm going to be able to maintain a faster pace for 30 minutes, myself.

I have faith in my willpower, even if I don't have faith in my abilities at the moment.

Good going, everyone. Did day 2 of week one today. I can't believe I am actually doing it. I feel pretty good although I cannot imagine ever being able to run for more than one minute at a time.

Today is day 2 of week 1 revisited. I'm doing it all over, but faster. My ultimate goal is to be able to run a 5K in 30 minutes, but for now, I'm shooting to be able to do one in under an hour.

I did the 2nd run of Week 1 last night. So happy with myself. I didn't want to do it, and had so many great excuses (ie: son's bedtime ran late, felt dizzy, was too hot...) but I did it and yay!

Excited for tomorrow's run. And then working to Week 2. Which I hope to start on Sunday!

I've done the C25k before, and restarted so many times since then, but I'm hoping I stick with it this time. I loved the results before- lost 20 lbs, felt great! My goal is to finish this program and then work on training for a half-marathon. If I can get myself to running 30 minutes straight, I feel like I can be prepared for anything!

Way to go, MICAANE!!

I made one attempt to start week one yesterday, but I only got through the first 10 minutes. Mind you, there were a whole bunch of factors in play there that caused me to be doomed from the start - where I was attempting this, fresh cut grass (one of my biggest allergens & asthma triggers, & muggy weather, in which I don't do well). Still, I'm determined to NOT let any of these things stop me from succeeding, & so I WILL keep on until I finish the programme. :)

Blessings,
Michelle :)

I just finished week one! Today felt amazing, like I could keep running. All my nerves about week 2 and running for 90 seconds are gone.
