I'm also working on a treadmill whenever possible to help my joints. I can also push myself harder than when I run on the street.

I set the incline to variable so that it is more like when I run in my neighborhood or in a 5k in my area.

It is nice to have speed and distance tracked for me :-)

W3D2: I do treadmill only at this point. I am slow and don't want to be fighting the heat too right now. I walk at 2.7 mph and jog at 3.7. I could probably go a little faster, but I don't want to be so sore I can't walk the next day. Then I would be done with the treadmill. I do however do the C25K 6 days a week also. I plan to restart at a faster pace and just keep building myself up. We will see how it goes!

I have a lot of allergies, so I am doing the routine on a treadmill. I am walking on the 3 and jogging on the 4. Am up to W4D1 and did okay and think this is easier on your legs and joints. Probably won't be doing a 5K but doing for health and weight loss. Let me know if anyone else is completely doing the whole routine on the treadmill and if you've ever run any distance outside. Is it possible once finished the program, you can take to the roads without much of a transition? Was thinking I'd like to try to jog a couple miles in my own neighborhood sometime!
