Unfortunately we eat out way too much. After the kids left home, I decided not to cook anymore. It will be hard getting back on track. I am going to try to use as many fresh fruits and veggies as possible (some frozen and only canned Blue Lake green bean, which I love.)

Had a Subway 6" turkey sandwich, no chips, soda (had water) or mayo but that was ok the sandwich on wheat was good and of course I have my new favorite dessert to look forward to.

I am putting a bow on this day emoticon

Repeat of yesterday like I had planned. I have always tended to eat the same thing over and over and over so it is no surprise to me that since I like my new dessert I will be stuck on it for awhile but it has got to better than eating ice cream/pound cake.

Also, had the HUGE salad it also was good.

I don't go to the beach, but I made a picnic basket meal and will eat it tonight when I watch a TV show! I can't even picnic outside because it's too hot! Two white chicken strips, Cole slaw, sliced tomatoes and strawberries.

LOL PS yes I do like purple too. In fact, my home looks like an explosion of color. The artwork I'm drawn to has every color known to man (and some that aren't!!) LOL

Ok, today I had no frozen greek yogurt only regular yogurt slightly frozen with vitatop and again it was great.

I watched a PBS special, Dr Fuhrman Immunity Solution and I have been having a BIG salad with 1/2 cup beans, onions, mushrooms, variety of salad greens. Balsamic vinegar, 2 T hummus 2.5 fat grams, black bean pico de gallo, 4 oz grilled chicken. It was good and filled me up. I have enough of everything to have it again tomorrow - YUM!

Bighairtexan, thank you for the information about the muffin mix. I will check it out.

At McDonalds I found a Premium Caesar salad with grilled chicken for 190 calories that filled
me up. If you are still hungry for 15 more calories you can have apple slices.

If you go to the vitamuffin website you can buy mixes to make some of the vita muffins and it works out to more like 55cents each.

Continuing my quest to find the best replacement for my weakness - ice cream/pound cake

I brought Vitatops, Apple Crumb had it with 6 oz of regular yogurt and 4 oz of healthy choice frozen yogurt. It was great. I will work on not having so often (costly treat) maybe only weekends.

For dessert we had pumpkin pie. I ate the pumpkin but left the pie crust. No whipped cream!

Went to Ruggles Green for a Birthday celebration for friends

Ate a turkey pattie and green salad before I went so I wasn't starving had a turkey reuben, shared sweet potato fries and had carrot cake tried to take off as much cream cheese as I could.

Too tried and late to eat going to bed so maybe won't gain any weight.

FAVORITE DESSERT SLENDERIZED:

I've got bunches of various berries: strawberries, raspberries, black berries and blueberries. I've got them (strawberries sliced) in a lidded bowl w/ Splenda and a few TBS of port wine.

THey'll go in a crepe (only 50 cal) w/ some FF whipped topping. About 100 cal/dessert.

Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

Yesterday had a small ice dream cone at chick fil a instead of my fav dairy queen choc dipped cone, today had sugar free Blue Bell popsicle instead of ice cream...small steps but gotta beat the heat w/o busting my diet...

God is in control.

Friday - Ice cream is always my favorite dessert, and my most tempting pitfall. I slimmed it down with a kiddie portion of lower-fat sugar free gelatto at Piccomolo's. It totally satisfied the craving.

Today - Movie and popcorn, out. If I were home I would add lime and sea salt.

Sunday - Going out to bbq place with Sunday School class. Will order chicken, green beans, corn, and skip the rolls. I'll bring half home.

Fun challenge!

Found healthy choice greek frozen yogurt 4 oz cup at 100 calories and added it to my favorite below. It tastes good. Visually it looks like a nice size serving when added to regular yogurt.
It cost more than my regular ice cream fix but you either pay up front or later in medical cost because of health problems caused by being overweight.

Handled my dining out meal fine. Went to Mexican restaurant; ordered taco salad, it had no dressing; left the sour cream. Truth be known, it was not the best in the world, so ate about half. Had exactly 10 chips. Hooray!!

DINE OUT:
For lunch today I went to the dreaded Chinese Buffet. But I had a plan!

Started w/ 1 cup hot and sour soup which is not high in calories.
Then i had a salad w/ vinegar and 1 tsp of oil.
Lastly I had peel and eat shrimp and raw oysters. I got in a lot of protein, no refined carbohydrates and I felt full.
Stayed away from; Rice, noodles, fried anything, and the desserts.

Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

I did this once this afternoon but it never recorded. So here goes again!!

I had 2.5 oz roasted chicken breast with no skin on 2 slices of Oroweat Healthy Oatgrain bread with 1 TB miracle whip, tomatoes and lettuce with 6 oz diet coke for lunch. YUMMY!!! emoticon

I made my overnight oats recipes last night so I had breakfast ready in the AM.
PLANNING is key for me so I planned this breakfast in advance.


1/2 cup Old Fashioned Oats (not quick cooking, not steel cut)
1/2 cup FF greek yogurt plain
1/2 cup canned peaches
1/4 cup skim milk (I use original unsweetened almond milk)
SPlenda to taste.
Mix everything, cover and put in fridge overnight. In the morning if you need it a little thinner you can add water.

Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

i'm in! tomorrow i am having lunch with a friend at one our favorite mexican resturants here in
junction and i will choose the chicken ranchero dinner, a grilled chicken breast with a vegetable sauce, instead of having my favorite thursday special which is the chili relleno dinner loaded with cheese sauce. i will also take a single portion of baked tostitos and NOT have the WHOLE basket of fried chips! so for thurs i choose dine out! emoticon emoticon emoticon
