Ok, I think I have this down. Today is Tuesday and I checked my nutrition tracker and while my proportions and numbers aren't perfect, they are pretty good. Could use some minor tweaking but overall I am happy with the numbers.

Sorry for not posting weekly challenges this week - this will, by the way, be the last week you will have them - you have probably mostly moved to other spark teams where there are challenges on teams that you have connected with.

Wednesday - be sure and check out an exercise video and do it today and then log it in

Thursday - look through the nutrition pages - you will find lots of information on different nutrients - then find the areas you are lacking and how you can improve

Friday - Find a blog and comment on it - this is a great way to encourage other people - and "what goes around comes around"

Saturday - check out the health videos

Sunday - read a health article today - don't forget to get your spark points

Monday - Check out the new articles under Healthy Lifestyle - Wellness - and then Financial Health

Tuesday - look at the nutrition tracker - what does your full report show? Are you getting your nutrition in the correct proportions?

Wednesday - Comment on a new team member's spark page - welcome someone new to SP

Thursday - Fitness Tracker - you can add those video workouts into your tracker - be sure and do that

Friday - Connect with someone new at SP

Saturday - you have learned a lot about SP and all that it has to offer - be sure and connect with new teams

Daily Challenges for July 21

Monday - be sure you are eating 5 fruits/veggies every day

Tuesday - How is your fiber? If you aren't getting enough, consider adding a high fiber breakfast - you will get a strong start to your day.

Wednesday - read some health related articles for conditions you may have or are interested in learning about

Thursday - Make a new friend - give them a spark goodie - comment on their blog or spark page.

Friday - Have fun this weekend - laughter is good for you and will take the focus off of food!

Saturday - Saturday is not really a day of rest - get in a good cardio workout today - walk outside at a brisk pace!

Daily Challenges this week (July 13)

Monday - watch a fitness video - there are so many great ones here at SP - one for any area

Tuesday - check out a new spark team or two - so many to look at and choose from

Wednesday - Blog - if you haven't started blogging, this is a great exercise - it is no more than an online journal (just remember other people will see it so don't put in there how much you hate your boss unless you don't care if they find out about it - lol!)

Thursday - Be sure and measure yourself - this is the best way to monitor your losses

Friday - Find a new recipe - there are many categories - you can even start your own cookbook of recipes

Saturday - Do you have Spark Streaks set up? If not, be sure and check it out. If you do, see if there is something else you could add.

Protein found naturally in foods is best - check for other sources besides meat - beans, nuts - do a search under the Healthy Lifestyle Nutrition tab

I have been checking out fiber and protein sources. I would like to start adding protein powder to my meals because I don't eat that much meat. I'm also going to look into adding more fiber. The spark teams are great I joined two more this week.

Wow, I didn't even get around to reading this until today (Wed.) and yet I already accomplished the daily challenges. I guess I'll need to check all my groups more often. I belong to 6 groups and I'm starting to think that may be to many emoticon because I don't have time to delve into all the groups and read the challenges. However, I am really finding the food tracker helpful. I'm trying to add the exercise. I'm finding the cardio workouts easier to find the time to do. I guess I'll need to find more ways to get the other fitness goals accomplished. Now I'm off to bed because it is past midnight. I think I'm going to try to make getting to bed at the same time another goal I need to work on.

Sorry I wasn't around much this weekend - your daily challenge for the rest of this week are:

Monday - find a new friend here at SP - give them a spark goodie - connect with them through this team or another team, but get to know someone today.

Tuesday - Read a Health news article - don't forget you will get sparkpoints for reading it - but you have to click on that bubble.

Wednesday - Look around at the hundreds of spark teams that are available - find one or two that share your interests and then join it. You will connect with more people and have fun.

Thursday - Are you logging all of your food? Be sure and log every single bite into your Nutrition Tracker - this is a great habit to get into.

Friday - All calories are not created equal - are you getting enough protein - how about fiber? It is important to log everything you eat, but if that is just pizza, you aren't going to get healthy.

hi i'm new. it's really cold in australia at the moment but i've been walking to work everyday even though it's freezing! I've also been doing extra workouts on top, i'm aiming for 3-5 per week

July 4 challenge - make sure you have a plan BEFORE you go to any cookouts or fireworks or other parties. If you don't have a plan, it is so easy to give in to temptation. Having a plan allows you to enjoy the festivities and concentrate on the other people that are there instead of the food. Enjoy the holiday in a healthy way!

July 3 challenge - find a healthy recipe on SP that you can make for a cookout this weekend - there are lots of recipes already here, but you can also add in your own recipe and calculate the nutritional information - you can even submit it to SP and share with others.

Okay, failed on Day #1 challenge, but WILL drink water today. I've a long drive, and a long wait while a cat gets tests done, so taking a book and my water. I'll try and get into the blog habit tomorrow. Thanks Pamela!

Challenge for July 2 - Drink all 8 cups of water today. It sounds like a lot, but you will be so glad that you did it. It will help your overall hydration level, your skin will stay younger looking for much longer with all that extra hydration, you will feel full by drinking a glass of room temp water before meals so you won't eat as much. Yes, you will have to eliminate a lot of liquid, but the rewards are so great!

Challenge for July 1 - post a blog entry today and then look at another team member's spark page and blog - it will really help you get to know each other and you will make some great friends. Today's Daily challenge is read one nutritional article. You find the article in one of 2 ways.

1. Go to the view points link on the right hand side (in the My sparkpoints box). Click on it then go to the read an article link and find a nutritional article.

2. Or you can go the the Health Lifestyle link on the tip of this page closer to the left. Click on it and find Nutrtition (it is the second category) and find an article there.

You will get three points (once you click on it) at the end of the article. Feel free to share the information with us.
