I'm disappointed in the loss of weight, but then again with travel I should be happy. My measurements were down so that was a plus. I have lost 2.5 inches in both my waist and my hips since the first of the year which is good.

I really need to get motivated to exercise. I want to and then always come up with some excuse not too. I will try again today.

Mermaidlife- I will try to cut my meat intake down and see how I do. I’m looking for anyway to get my gallbladder to calm down so I can lose weight before surgery. My gallbladder is a little better this week. I’ve been eating pretty good except yesterday. I kind of snacked all day long.
I also bought a few scale. Mine was getting to the point where it would only weight 1 out of ten tries. I love the scale except it weighed me 6 pounds heavier. Not happy about that. So I added 6 pounds to all my weigh ins. I actually believe the new scale is more accurate. I always weighed so much more at the doctors office.
I’ve got to buckle down this week.

Looks like everyone is doing good on the weight loss. I was so busy at work last week I just didn't have time for anything but. I ended up traveling to Nashville Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Seems I picked the best days to go with each of those days in the mid 70's. Coming from the bitter cold of MN lately if felt very good. I even was able to get some much needed Vitamin D. I tried my best to eat well during my trip but that is hard to do. At least I didn't gain during my trip.

This week will be busy but slower so I'm hoping to focus more on my diet and exercise this week. We will actually be in the 50's this coming weekend. I'm so excited it will make walking outside a blessing.

I will be weighing in tomorrow morning so I am very anxious to see if I at least maintained this week.

I am hoping to get back to trying to track my food. We are pretty much moved in and my son's family is moved into my old house. We still have a lot to do to particularly outside if it ever quits raining, but we shouldn't be eating on the run as much, which means I HAVE NO EXCUSES!

WooHoo! Don't know how I managed to lose 2 pounds but I'm happy.

The weekends are just too short. I was busy from the time I got up on Sat. morning until I went to bed last night. Just not enough time to get everything done. I didn't really get to sit down at all to just rest.

The weather was beautiful all weekend, we even cooked out last night; but this morning it's raining, I hate driving to work when it's raining and dark.

My granddaughter will be turning 6 on March 4th, I just can't believe it. My ds has her this weekend so we will celebrate on Sat.

SouthernStar: My best friend has gallbladder issues, and for whatever reason, she doesn't want to have surgery. (I guess it's not bad enough yet, or her insurance is crappy? I dunno.) But she manages her symptoms by going pretty much vegetarian and has just joined WW (the purple plan) for weight control. She found that protein aggravated her gall bladder more than fat. She can eat cheese, the occasional egg and some fish, but she's mostly cut out meat entirely. I don't know if her approach would work for you or not, but she's eaten this way for more than a year now, and her gall bladder doesn't hurt her, and her blood work is good. Just an idea.

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. I too have had a difficult week being in control of my eating. I KNOW that my body feels better with cleaner foods; however, my brain craves junk foods. I KNOW I should start another round of Whole 30 to reset and kill those sugar addictions, I just don't want to which is so childish. I'm hoping that putting this down on paper will help me to see how ridiculous I'm being. Take care and have a great weekend.

Happy Friday everyone!

This team has been way too quiet this week, where is everyone?

I survived having 5 silver fillings removed and refilled. I think the worst part was the shots to numb me. I am so glad that is behind me now, I still have two more to do, the first opening is in May but it will be a piece of cake compared to what I just had done. Today I am hurting more than I was the last few days, the pain hasn't been bad at all. But, I came home and went on a binge of soft foods, why do I do that? When am I going to learn to quit letting life take over my eating? To top that off yesterday was a work from home day and I binged again. Today has to be better. This past week I haven't had much to do at work, but the day of my dental appt. it seemed everyone in my office were emailing me wanting me to do some kind of task, that was urgent. They started in before I even left. I tried coming home and working for a couple of hours, I finally got snippy with one of the admin and called it a day.

Sonia, you have been so busy, no wonder you are exhausted. I am so glad that you got all moved. Hopefully, you can get your ds settled in his new house soon.

I suppose I need to get back to work.

I’m still here and haven’t gave up. With all the ice storm craziness I forgot to post last week. I’m still having some gallbladder pain. I have an appointment today to talk about possible surgery. Which I’m super nervous about because of my weight.
I’ve been cutting back on the fat for my gallbladder but it gets replaced with carbs. Not they best for losing weight. It seems like I have to stave myself to lose weight lately. But I’m not giving up.

I am not surprised at all with my gain. I have a lot of fluid in my legs.

It has been a busy couple of weeks. We finally got the last of my things from the inside of my old house. Off days have been spent there painting and getting ready for my son and his family to live there full time. I am flat out exhausted. Today hopefully starts a little of the back to norm I hope!

I feel like I am redoing last year in terms of gaining and losing the same 2 or 3 pounds, well its got to stop now. When 2021 began I promised myself that I would not do that to myself this year. And because I have been sloppy with eating this month I don't think I am going to meet my goal of losing 5 pounds this month. This week I am better prepared. Food is prepped, dinners are ready to be put together, and I have tracked everything I am going to eat today.
Now if I can just not stress eat today and tomorrow, I am getting more and more nervous about this dental procedure I am having done Wednesday. In my 60+ years I have not had anything more than having my wisdom teeth taken out many years ago and 7 fillings. I am having 5 fillings taken out and replaced on Wednesday.

I signed up for 2 pre-retirement classes, one is today. Finally after all of these years retirement is just a couple of years away. After signing up for those classes made it feel so real and very scary.
I'm in the office today so I guess I better go and look busy! LOL!

Hello All,

Yesterday and today I am doing a little better. I can handle exceptions and/or
sugary things but when those exceptions happen too many times, they plain
take over. I made a concentrated effort to eat "extra" protein yesterday and
again today, and that seems to be helping. I am not starving, and I feel like
my eating is more controlled.

I really mind that when I feel like there is a monster from within making my
decisions for me.

Also, if you are eating right now.... don't read this - remember, you were warned.

I was also constipated. I think or feel that when that happens, all the toxins
overwhelm my system and make me want to eat everything imaginable.
Once I have been able to get beyond that situation, I feel in control again,
and want to eat things that are better for me. I know that sounds weird,

I see I am not the only one struggling here this past week. Although congrats on the big weight loss and the move to your new home. I'm re-evaluating everything from exercise to carbs and calories. I think maybe I was over calculating my fitness calories from my fit bit and this increased my calorie intake. I have backed this all down so I'm hoping to lose some weight next week. Time will tell.

I struggle with wanting to eat all time as well. I'm not even hungry, I just think I need to eat. Today all I can smell is chocolate so it is rough right now,

Sorry you had a rough week last week, I am doing the same this week. I am
HUNGRY!!!! I want anything and everything...it makes you wonder what
happens when one gets like this. It can't be the way its suppose to be.
I am going to try to take in more protein tomorrow to see if that will pull me
out of this. Even while I type all kinds of sugary carbs are going through
my mind.

Hey everyone!
I had such a terrible week last week and ate too much bad stuff so I'm not surprised that I gained. I have been tracking this week so far so good since it's only day 2! For some reason all I want to do is eat everything in sight. I just seem to be hungry all of the time.

Sonia, it's so good to hear that you got moved in and getting settled. Moving is hard and exhausting, I feel your pain, I don't want to move again but I know it's inevitable.

My sciatic nerve is a little better as long as I can go to the chiropractor on a regular basis. I'm going to try and do a small work out this afternoon, will see how that goes.

I was off yesterday and got so much accomplished; I wish I had another day to finish up and then another day to clean the house good. LOL! It's a never ending list of good reasons to not work.

Try and stay warm everyone and safe, I know a lot of you have ice and snow. We have gotten a lot of rain lately, the sun has finally come out today, but bitter cold.

Happy Thursday everyone! It feels like Friday to me, I don't know why but it does.

I just can't get motivated again to track my food or eat healthy. I guess there's several things, my sciatic nerve is really bad. Alleyanne, I guess you and me are in the same boat. I am tired of being in pain. I went back to the chiropractor yesterday, today I feel like I got run over by a truck and my sciatic nerve hurts just as bad as yesterday. The school district I work for can't decide if we are working form home or staggered days. The only day I went into the office this week was Monday. They still haven't announced next weeks schedule. I guess working from home is beneficial right now since the chiropractor thinks my sciatic pain and long commute are related. I am also having neck pain and knee pain. I feel like I am falling apart. Quoting my grandma "It's hell to get old" she was right.

I have a question, has anyone had their old silver fillings removed and replaced? In two weeks I am having this done to 5 teeth all at once, I am going to be at the dentist for about 3 hours probably. I am getting anxious about it. Later on I will have the other 2 done, 7 in total. My ds is scheduled to have his wisdom teeth removed on the same day I have my procedure. Poor kid, he's in his mid 30's, it was bad enough when I had mine done at 21.

Sonia, good luck on your move, I hope all went smoothly. Can't wait to see pictures!

Back to the heating pad. I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day Sunday. emoticon

So sorry you are feeling so rough. I find it interesting that you "craved"
apple juice this week when you are possibly having gallbladder issues.
When my gallbladder flares that is what I use to help treat the gall stones.
I started it first to treat the gall stones but easily passed a kidney stone.
I did some reading and the same type of acid from apple juice that
softens the gall stones takes the sharp edges off of kidney stones.

It could be that your body is trying to treat itself.

Thanks for the great welcome. I feel so pumped this week. I hope this feeling continues and pays off for next weeks weigh in. I'm going to get my hair chopped off tomorrow. Back to where I was the week before. Not feeling good al all this week. Still having gallbladder issues. I’m having some tests done this week to make sure it’s my gallbladder.
I thought I would have a loss. Didn’t eat a lot this week but also have had minimum exercise. Probably didn’t help I drank a lot of apple juice this week. I kept craving it so bad.

Hope you are having a good week. I am still struggling with my sciatic nerve pain. Having a lot of snow didn't help matters. I am happy with my loss this week. I have not been eating tons of calories so that has helped.

This has been a busy week and I have grabbed food whenever and unfortunately whatever. The big move is happening!!! I am taking off the rest of this week so that I can hopefully be completely moved in. However, we are waiting for one final inspection.

Happy Monday everyone!
I don't know how I didn't gain this past week, it was a tough week, Sciatic nerve acting up, arthritis in my thumb and who knows what is going on with my knee that has been replaced. I went to the chiropractor and he said the commute is what is killing me and that I need to work from home 3 days a week, well that's not going to happen so I am just going to have to deal. I didn't do much in the way of tracking, eating healthy and no working out. But today is a new day and I am back on track. Thankfully I am just a couple of years short of retiring.

Nothing else is new. I'm not into Football and neither is my dh so we didn't watch the Super Bowl.

I hope everyone has a great week.

BEWARE EVERYONE OF THE BIG SUPER BOWL GAME/PARTY!!!

Do up a tray of raw veggies! Some healthy dips! Fruits in their original
versions.... it takes longer to eat oranges and clementines than it does
to eat them in a fruit cup. Beware of bananas, they go down so fast.

Having peanuts? Eat them in their shells, it takes up a lot of time to
shell them. Or even other nuts, walnuts take a long time to get just one
out of its shell,, etc.

Any other ideas that might slow down the eating on Sunday?

Wow everyone, great job this month! Now to keep this up in Feb. I am still tracking but haven't worked out this week, my knee is hurting and swollen so I am trying to take it easier this week. Plus being back at work the last two days has taken everything out of me. Work is really stressing me out.

Christi, I hope you and dh are feeling better. I heard the 2nd shot is the worst. My mom got her 2nd one last week, I need to check on her to see if she had any side effects.

It's so cold here, okay, I know the lows in the 20s at night are nothing compared to what most of the rest of you endure every winter but to us folks that live in the south that's down right cold!
