Yes, I knew that sugar reduces our resistance. After I binge on it I often get a cold, flu symptoms, or a cold sore.

Hmmm- the traditional birthday cupcake at elementary school is the gateway for a germfest. Yet another reason to limit the school celebrations to once a month .

Life is a roller coaster! Be that person who holds someone hand in the dark tunnel and shares a knowing look up the high peaks. Most of all, be that person who throws hands up in the air and screams for joy!

Judy, I think it would be interesting to see if there is an actual link between sugar consumption and pain. My husband also has chronic pain that has gotten worse these past years and so has his sugar consumption. Let me know if you find a connection

Very interesting and motivating! Thank you. My husband suffers from chronic pain. I think he is addicted to sugar also. I wonder if his flare-ups are related to heavy sugar days.

WOW, I will think of this as I'm eating sugar. I wonder if you use it, meaning exercising when indulging, can it actually be used by the body in the form of the carbohydrate it is?

Oh my! I was not aware. I feel sugar is a drug sometimes....it seems harmful to the body as well as an addiction--this time of year is really tough. emoticon
