If you have found a reliable nursery, you can also check with them on some good plants for your area. You might also check with native plant societies and nurseries in your area to see what goes well in landscaping in your area. Youcan findthem by googling it your zip code at the end,

A good idea to check with your local extension agency for that area to see what plants do best down there--I know it gets cooler in the Panhandle but still more tropical than my weather up here in MD. Look under agriculture in the state section or county section of your yellow pages.

Hi. My husband and I built a new home about 1 1/2 yrs ago and have been slowly working on landscaping it. We live in the Florida panhandle zone 8. We have a pretty large bed near the front door, full sun. Does anyone have suggestions for some perenials to put here?
