We're over the top, team... Connie brought us up to 2012.99 miles:

I'm adding 19.73 miles from last week's race and this week's walking, topped with about 5 miles as a spectator this morning.

2032.72 miles -- we're done with the year before October ended. Sunny's got a new challenge coming up for us soon... look for a cross-continent trek at the pace of a mile for every minute of exercise!

I’ll add 6 miles! Finished moving my friend and cleaned her empty house-
Got my stitches out from surgery so I am feeling almost back to myself!! Ready for a active November!!!

Everything counts, Connie! I count pacing (wear a step-counter), 2500 steps for me, walking, will be a mile, based on the length of my stride.

Only giving myself 13.25 miles this week, all walked (including some paced while streaming yesterday's Ironman world championship on the computer).

Team total up to 1977.79... less than 40 miles to go, gang! We can polish this one off this month! What do you think?

I just can't seem to keep up with you ladies! Been very busy helping my girlfriend move and working tons this week. I'll have to sit and think how I can squeeze more Miles in before next week as I'm having a minor surgery and won't be able to do a whole lot, just walk...

I am putting together Boxes for The Christmas Child Project from Samaritan's Purse. It is such a fun Project - from praying over the box and it's contents to it's final destination. It is one of my favorite Christmas projects.

Bummer about the bike, Sunny. Hope that ol' treadmill isn't completely dust-clogged!

Meantime, I hadn't reported my miles since the Buffalo Run! So let's add my walking (mostly just walking for transport) 29.5 miles since then, through yesterday. And yesterday's run-walk of 7.22 miles.

I saw the surgeon on Wednesday for my Follow Up appointment. She will not release me to bike but said I could walk so dusting off the treadmill.

I'm bummed that I'm losing my personal trainer, but thrilled for her new employment opportunity... she's going to be making double the pay with a much more convenient schedule for her. Awe, I am sorry. I do hope you do take it easy.

Today is my day of rest!

I hope to bike Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday we go to Springfield, Ill for my surgery so biking will be on hold for a while. Do keep me in your prayers. I have been dealing with the colon problems way too long and just want to feel better.

Dr.'s verdict was that I "overdid". I'm thinking posture on the 24 mile bike leg with hunched shoulders was an element. Returning to "hard" training too soon after the August 12th race also an element. And of course, it wasn't something that happened while active... I just woke with a jerk and moved the neck funny and ye-owch! 72 hours rest, ice, and Advil, and I'm back at it again, albeit with a more conservative approach.

Most of my miles were WALKED this week, as I recovered from my neck wrenching... but still managed a little 4.58 mile run and a 0.48 mile swim, for a grand total of 24.06 miles since last adding to the team total.

I'm stumped on how many miles I have put in these past couple of weeks, been very active with grandkids, hiking, running around at the fairgrounds, staining deck etc.

Awesome additions, Sunny!

Starting with last Sunday, I have swum 1.57 miles, biked 12 miles, and run 13.16 miles. Another 15 miles walking for a grand total to add of 41.73 miles in a week.

Oh, no, we don't stop when we reach 2017... we see how far we get by the end of the year!

And then just for fun, we might figure out what goal to set for NEXT year, maybe in other terms, like miles from one place to another. This year is a baseline... we've got this down!

We are doing it!

Guess we are gonna have to set a new goal when we reach 2017. I am not going to quit when we reach 2017 and hope you all don't either. This is the best I have felt in a very long time. That is one perk I don't want to give up on.

Thanks Barb. The test results were good. There has been no change in the last year so doc said he felt like doing the happy dance. He did release me for the surgery I need to have in August. He said to keep biking and keep doing what I am doing and I should have no problems.

18.53 miles this week, combining swimming, and brisk walking.

That brings our team total up to 1314.02

To reach our goal of 2017 (the year in miles) we only need about 703 more miles... we can do this! And certainly by the end of the year!
