I think I surprised myself this weekend -- I actually tracked food on the weekend!

June 22
Food tracked

Food tracked (holy cow! 2800 cals! well, that confirms what I thought about my weight loss)

50 active minutes on Fitbit (yardwork pays off!)

June 24
Most foods tracked (I know I forgot stuff from yesterday)

0 active minutes (this was my Slug Day)

Most of us have FitBits, and it sounds like most of us can track our sleep. Let's go with Hours of Sleep for the last week of June, like Glenda suggested. I find it harder to get enough sleep in the summer, because I want to stay up until after the sun goes down.

Sleep tracking for June 23 (Sunday night-Monday morning or last night)
Asleep 6h6min, awake 56 mins.

I tracked last night and got in 64 oz water.

We are now on Week 3 of June. I can't believe it either. So we will continue with the Basics and add on one more element.

Exercise

Most of us are pretty good at getting some, and not all of us need to exercise daily. This challenge is to include the number of minutes of fitness you had each day, even if it's a rest day, or like me on weekends, Slug Days. Even if you walk for 10 minutes, that counts as activity. Most of us have FitBits, so jotting down the number of fitness minutes should be fairly easy to do.

I'll add mine from yesterday to my Basics list above: 56 minutes.

If you've missed some of the challenges, we have another full week to meet them.

Ok, so that's the first week of basics -- WATER.

Let's keep up the water AND add one more "basic" healthy living activity. For the next week, TRACK all your food intake. I know we have an Accountability thread, but this is our Challenge thread.

Personally, it means I need to take notice on the weekends. Of all the challenges I set out for myself, tracking nutrition on the weekend is the hard part.

So WATER and TRACKING this week.

Let's break June down into weeks for the next challenge. I think going back to basics sometimes is a great way to recommit and make sure we are on track. I know I need this!

Week 1 - Water challenge

Let's commit to drinking at least 64 oz of water per day for those 7 days. I know how hard this is, but we can do it!!! Count those OZs, whoever gets the most wins a prize (virtual of course).
