Sorry team I was on a time constraint yesterday between work and cooking supper for family last night. My choice was get my run in or do the ABs. I ran.

I hear by promise to do this tonight!!!

Lori....If you could do it all with ease it wouldn't be much of a challenge would it? And if you get a few laughs out of it...BONUS!!

Jo - lots of future challenges for you!

Nice job Lori! Don't feel bad... when I read the challenge and viewed the videos, I got into a fit of laughter because there's no way I can do any of them right now.

As for plank, remember that each time you do it, and you are able to stay in form for even a few extra seconds, your abs WILL GET STRONGER.

When I saw the airplane pose, I was reminded of Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 video, where that move is incorporated with either dumbbell rows or chest fly's. The concept is to hold the pose with the leg up throughout the arm movements. I'll be honest, lifting my hind leg that far without intent to kick someone just doesn't seem to work, so I had to work up to it. At first, I could balance with my back leg's toes touching the ground. I worked up to being able to hold it up about knee level without too much wiggling around.

My point: just because you weren't good or successful at this abs challenge, it doesn't mean you never will. Muscles need practice to get used to doing it.

*pouting because I couldn't take part in the abs challenge yet*

Ok so I did my 3 sets of 13 reps on each leg for the airplane pose. Not very graceful.

I did 3 sets 13 reps of seated knee lifts, wish I could get my legs up higher
( note to self.. That belly got to go)

I did 3 sets 13 reps of the Genie sit. Feel like I need a spotter. Ha ha

Modified plank... Totally embarrassed.

1st attempt.... 15 seconds body started shaking
2cd attempt .... 20 seconds thought my abs would explode
3rd attempt ... 25 seconds total embarrassment ... My almost 79 year old father can hold it for 2 minutes😳

And I won't be doing those again. emoticon
