I did my 2 hutches today. I re-arranged them too lol not sure how I ended up with less space though. Maybe they should be done again. Ha ha

I'm not sure why I thought this was weekend challenges for April. Lol
None the less I got the overly cluttered bookshelves done. Took me awhile cause there were many magazines there and I didn't want to pass up any good recipes. Lol
Got 'er done though. Woot!! Woot!!!

I cleaned out 2 night stands in our room and found my MP3 player with all the songs I listen to back in 2010. I walked to them on the treadmill yesterday. I'm not gonna lie it was a little hard to keep up to. A few songs I had to do a light jog to keep up. Great motivation though. emoticon emoticon

Ok, I'm in, though I forgot to let you know.

1 thing for spring cleaning: this past weekend was frustrating with plastic containers in the kitchen, and I want 2 specific ones for 2 staples in the pantry but I don't think I have them. Fortunately my plastics are in 2 cupboards only, so pulled a couple out to put into recycling. I am getting in there this week to actually dedicate specific containers for breakfasts and lunches at work. That way, containers for leftovers can be used the way I had intended. (I'm almost ready to clean out the bakeware too.)

April 1st start: Um, ok, I'm going to stretch that one out until the vacation in the sun. I want to learn to like tea, as a replacement for hot chocolate. In particular, green or chai teas are what I will be trying to switch to. Cutting out caffeine completely isn't realistic, so switching to a healthier version is the goal. The vacation is all inclusive, so it will give me a chance to try many different teas till I find the one I like. I'm pretty sure it won't be Red Rose or King Cole brands for me. Twinings Tea is the brand I've seen at this resort, so I have high hopes.

One thing for me: *sigh* this is the hardest one for me. Related to spring cleaning, I've found some gluten free flours in the pantry, so I decided to make some healthier cookies with coconut flour. Aside from misreading how many it makes (I read 12, it was actually 30), the cookies turned out pretty good. I also used natural PB, which made them less sweet. I noticed the difference and liked them anyway. :-)

Just One More: Since we are vacationing in Latin America, it's high time The Wife and I learn Spanish. We both downloaded Duolingo, and tonight, we start learning. It'll be nice to say more than !Hola! and Por Favor. We are also printing out some different mixed drinks to try, and we are hoping to order them in Spanish too. Let's see.... rum=ron, tequila=tequila (yep, still a smart a$$), lemon=límon. Still need to learn lime, salt, soda, grenadine, ice, soft pillow, air conditioning, how much does it cost, and numbers for haggling prices. Oh, and flirting. Can't go on an anniversary vacation without flirting. :-D

I've said all along I wanted to earn the things I'm am getting. It's just another way to keep me on track and not give up. Keeping me accountable.
So my big one was my Fitbit. I felt that it was a lot of money to spend on something that was not necessary( or so I thought lol) so this is what I came up with when I re-evaluated.

1. I give myself $1.50 a day for everyday that I succeed in achieving my 10,000 steps. I will have to succeed everyday until until August 20th to have completed earned it.

2. I started this one already but he bottom of the closet is only the start. There are 2 shelves on top that still need to be tackled. emoticon

3. I have this one in the making. I bought new clothes for Zumba and I have to lose my set goals in order to earn these. I'm working on a new top right now. Hoping to get that this Friday.

My reward because it's spring is to get a new pair of jeans. I so need a pair that fits good.
( I wonder if I can get that other 1 1/2 lbs gone what size that will put me in. Maybe out of the plus size department... I wish!!!!)

1. Pick one goal to start April 1

My goal is to start the couch to 5k. I want to run again!

2. Pick one chore to start spring cleaning

I might have flopped on this one! We were gone all weekend and last evening I tutored someone in bookkeeping for two hours. Besides it was -18 with the wind chill...nothing spring in that!

3. Pick one thing to do for YOURSELF..cause it's spring right?

I bought myself a pair of capris !
