This is great information!! Thanks, I'm pretty sure I'll order one and I wanted to get fit plus and I was debating the EA Sports Active Personal Trainer, but on your recommendation, I think you've just pushed me over the edge so I'll order that too. Sounds like good choices, thanks again for the info.

Once I get all of this I'll see you on the Wii teams!! Good, now I'm excited again.

Happy to help you spend your money. LOL Here's some ideas and feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Wii Fit - If you get this, be sure to get the new "Plus" version that was released in the Fall. It has everything from the original and 15-20 new exercises and some other cool functions, like it gives you the estimated calorie burn. I find Wii Fit a lot of fun & it keeps me motivated. I use it pretty much daily... I like how it gives you a score for each thing you do so I can try for new high scores. Definitely burns calories; but it generally does not provide an intense workout. There are a few good cardio items in it that I really enjoy, yoga, strength & some things that are more just games really.

I also use Wii EA Sports Active Personal Trainer & the newer Active More Workouts. I'd recommend these for a more intense workout. Combines cardio routines and strength exercises (lots of resistance band work). They each have a built in challenge (30-day one in Pers. Trainer & 6-wk one in More). The Pers. Trainer version comes with a band & leg strap. More Workouts does not; it assumes you have the other version already or you have to buy the accessories separately.

Biggest Loser - I do not have this one; but quite a few other Sparkers talk about it being good for extra cardio.

Gold's Gym - If you like boxing, this might be one to check out. I don't have this one either; but others have recommended it.

You can google any of these & find videos of them to see more what they are like. I like to just search for them on amazon.com & they usually have videos there that are good.

Oh & I also have Wii Sports Resort. This has some games on it that are fun; but mostly I think of this as some active games but not so much exercise overall. Nice for variety.

Good luck with your decision!

Sheenadee: I know you love Wii, I'm seriously thinking about it again, will you suggest the best work-out/games?

Hi Holly - Ya, it's a bummer that the prizes never apply to international members. I would say that you should do the bootcamp anyway for the exercise; but sounds like you have a good plan for getting that in at the gym.

Montanagal1 - Funny how that extreme cold will shorten your walks. Brrrr. It's nowhere near that cold here (although it is barely 20) and I don't want to be out in it. You know I love my Wii workouts so would welcome you aboard the Wii wagon if you decide to go that route for some variety. Take care.

I'm keeping my normal workout routine, but I'm finding that (and I should have known this) my dog hikes are getting less and less, because when it's -25 it's just too cold for the dogs and me. I'm debating getting a wii again...

But, in the mean time, I'm jogging 3 miles m,w,f; 4 miles t, th. and pilates m,w,f and coach nicole's 20 dumbbell workout t, th. I wish it would warm up, but it's not so I have to accept that and probably I'll get a wii because I feel great when I do my complete workout, but it's getting boring...I've got to spice it up before I blow it.

I dropped out of the bootcamp because the prizes are not for international members and I joined a REAL gym on Jan 2nd. That is my personal bootcamp

How are you challenging yourself in January?

I've joined the SP Bootcamp. I really liked starting off last year with a bootcamp & expect to get a lot out of this one too. It will bring some new variety into my workout routine & I can always use that. Have any of you joined it also?

I am also doing the EA Active More Workouts 6-week challenge this month. I started it end-Dec. It's fun and a good workout too, really gets my heart pumping.

Whatever you choose to do this month, I hope you pick at least one new thing to challenge yourself and keep your routine new and interesting.

Enjoy January!
