What are pelvic floor exercises? I've never heard of them or isometric exercises...

You could try doing pelvic floor exercises first. I find my back hurts a bit if I don't engage the pelvic floor properly when I'm doing crunches

Have you tried Water Aerobics? I have serious back issues and that helps me. Also until you get your core going the right way try isometric exercises. THose can be done anywhere and are beneficial to strengthening with out strain.

working out their core?

No matter how I try, I can't seem to work out my core without back pain. Part of me wonders if it will "go away" the more I exercise, but I'm only straining my back instead of working it.

crunches do not work, I don't feel anything when I do them (cuz i'm doing them incorrectly) and I know there's that little piece of information that i'm missing to make it perfect.

I just want to know if anyone else ever had that issue and how they fixed it.
