I am tracking my exercising in the fitness tracker, and it is showing up in my reports... you may want to verify you have the selected criteria you want to see in your reports before you run them ie. day, week, month, all... if you are still having problems, you may want to consult the SP Message Board forum: "Site/Technical Help"

i'm tracking my exercising but it doesnt show up in the fitness reports. where should i be tracking??? to get it to show on reports. thanks

The longer it takes it to come off the longer it will stay off!

The longer you keep it off the harder it is to put it back on!

EXCELLENT tip! Thanks-I'm going to use it too.

Just in case anyone is interested, at womenshealth.gov/woman there is a challenge starting next month and most of it is redundant for what we have ehre at SP, but one cool feature is to choose a route across the U.S. and enter your daily steps and there is a map that will show your progress "walking across America". I chose a route across the Rocky Mountains. Just a neat little tool to emphasize your progress with walking.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths.

I did it...Instead of eating the pizza with the granddaughters, I ordered a grilled chicken salad. So I kept within my means. Thanks for the tip. Hugs. Barb

Poglover,

I use a pedometer every day, and I had the same question as you. Have you followed the suggestion of the team member? If so how is it working out for you?

Thanks team member (I forget your screen name)for posting the suggestion on keeping track of your steps. I have been logging my steps on walkertracker.com. Now I can use SP and keep everything all in one place.

Not sure where you are living but I live in Ireland, In ireland almost every petrol station and shop now has a sandwich counter. what I do is whenever I'm in a rush is get a salad in a bowl without the bread.. You can usually pick the salad items yourself. Its usually much faster than a pizza. If there is no sandwich counter I usually buy cooked chicken and eat it with some salad (also bought in the shop)I find that if I eat something like pizza, it leads to me craving more. After saying that, if you just have to have that pizza and nothing else will do, and if you can stick to just a small slice then you should be fine as long as it doesn't happen too often. A little of what you fancy does you good.. so they say

???? I'm only on 2nd day and I have a sticky question. I help my daughter in law out sometimes with the granddaughters. This is picking up from school, getting them something to eat and taking to softball practice. I usually get them something easy like pizza. I need to eat early myself and can't stop to go home and fix what is on my sparks chart. Is it occasionally ok to eat one slice of pizza? or what do you do in situations like this. I am sometimes called at last minute to can't even fix anything.?? Thanks, Barb Ark emoticon

couldn't find anywhere on spark where you are meant to put in steps done.
If I were you i'd go to
my fitness then in fitness under

QuickTrack
where it says minutes, just put in the qty of steps you have done
then in the Activity put in steps
then click on save.

this will track your steps each day..

it will be giving you total minutes, but you just pretend that thats steps and hey presto, you will be logging the amount of steps taken each day and the QuickTrack will keep the record for you

hope this works for you

Keep it lit and never mind the begrudgers...

I just wish I could actually get an answer to the question! I've asked on 2 boards, and not a single solid answer. I'm guessing that the site doesn't provide anything like that... but was hoping that there would actually be some answers about the features of the website.

I've been thinking about wearing my pedometer at work as well. I have a desk job and am trying to take little breaks to get up and walk a bit throughout the day just so I'm not sitting all the time.

I am wearing a pedometer for a contest here at work. I would love to be able to chart my daily count here on SparkPeople, too. Is there a place to chart this type of activity and see progress over time?

Here's a quote that got me through a time when I felt like I was totally depriving myself and not seeing any results:

"Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels."

But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Romans 8:11
