I love the lab/border collie inspiration. My dog has literally saved my life since she made me walk even on days when I wanted to lay in bed. I love her for that.

I was my own inspiration yesterday. I have had a trying time with one of my children and some decisions that I felt I had no control over. I remembered how I have empowered myself to have control over my own decisions.

Today I was able to implement my own choices without offending and still make my point. It has been a delicate matter that was being influenced by people who had no business being involved in any way. It has bothered me, because of a tender relationship, I didn't want to offend.

My own strength and ability to hold my ground has possibly helped not only me but a child who is dealing with the problem.

My sweet black lab/ border collie mix dog inspired me today on our hike up the hill on our farm! Her ready willing spirits, her exuberant energy, her dashing about, her amazing leaps and cavorting about delighted me-- and *I* found new energy and enjoyment of my walk, really getting 'into' the new rhythms of 'chi walking' that I've been learning this past week (I'm grateful to the Dreyers, who started 'chi walking'!!). Felt energized and 'sparked' for several *hours* afterwards-- just an amazing feeling! AND got in my 10,000 steps, too :-). Great to have such a fun companion on my 'treks'! The other day she inadvertantly got caught in a neighbor farmer's coon 'box trap' and so wasn't able to come with me (my husband found her and freed her later that evening, fortunately!!!)-- it was quite different to walk on our farm *alone* ... and made me more fully appreciate the 'zing' she gives to my walks :-).

My inspiration for yesterday came in the form of my sweetheart, as usual. He is so kind and gentle! He is patient with me and lets me grow at my own pace. We are both so thankful that I am being blessed with improved health, after those dark "zombie" years of fibro-fog, sleep disturbances and pain. He truly loves me deeply and I feel that love every day (since 1976!!)

I took a friend to the hospital for a follow up visit. I was inspired by all the people who were there for their cancer treatments. It made me think before I complained about any little ache or pain that I had.

DIET IS A FOUR LETTER WORD!!!!

We are constantly creating our "karma" or destiny through our intentions, thoughts and deeds in this moment. It is achieved through countless deliberate acts of selflessness.

It's hard to be happy with others if we are not happy with ourselves.

Just keep on moving and you'll get there.

Starving yourself is not supported on Spark, nor on this team. Losing 10 lbs in one week, if I read your post correctly, is too much too fast. That kind of weight loss is also mostly water and perhaps muscle weight. This will hurt you in the long run.

SparkPeople supports nutrition. Read what it has to offer and please eat healthy.

Yesterday my Spark was Alyx at the bowling party for work. Mommy was frustrated because he was running all over and wouldn't stay put. I chased him up and down the concourse and played with him and we had a blast. He was just being a normal 2yr old in a new environment, to bad Mommy didn't see it that way. Don't say it Kat, I know what your thinking, and your right!

You can only take one step at a time, it is best that the step is forward, not back. But even a backward step is exercise! LOL

My DH who had to calm me down. The sales people at a major home repair retail outlet who made me mad enough to trigger an eating response that I had to master by concentrationg on my goals-even after I bought food items off my eating plan and the Sparkspeople team for their encouragement.

Who inspired you yesterday? Who ignited the Spark within?

~*~*~* My girlfriend, Trinity inspires me daily. For over thirty years we have survived life’s challenges, and endured miles of separation (she lives in California, still and I am in Michigan). We email one another daily, and chat about everything! There are no secrets between us; like her struggle with chemical dependency and my emotional eating. My dependency on her is tangible at best, but then her reliance on me is equal.

However, I have met some really valuable women on Spark People too. They “listen” to my complaints while supporting my achievements. Their struggles, though sometimes unique but inspiring, reveals an inner strength for success. Their efforts are beneficial when enduring my own set backs, my emulating the same enthusiasm.

I have also been known to gleam inspiration just from a quote or a story I read. Life is full of inspiration, I just have to be paying attention when it offers up something or someone.

Testerday the inspiring person for me was the allery nurse tha I talked at my specialists office. She asked pertenent questions and called me back quickly . Told me the med was already ordered and hoped I feel better soon or else call again or come in to see them. As crummy as I felt I was happy I was taken care of so quickly.

This is gonna sound strange and probably wrong, but its meant good. My mom, because she has certain health issues and things that could have been prevented if she had taken better care of herself. I love her to pieces but don't want to get to my 60's and have to deal with certain things that she does. (mostly to do with bad eating and smoking for over 40 odd years). I want to get to that age and not have to count on meds and such just to function normally. I want to get old and still be young! I hope that made sense.

I bought a lawnmower yesterday and whoever wrote the instruction booklet inspired me. It shows a WOMAN assembling the mower. I copied her and managed to do it. It might have takes over an hour but I finished all by myself and was "well chuffed".

I am at goal and maintaining. Thanks to my friends on SparkPeople and in the real world who motivate me every day.

My healthy BMI weight range is a generous 65kg to 55kg. My Spark goal is 60kg.

Just talking about yesterday, I was inspired by Katmomma. She has me thinking about some serious issues, and I'm grateful for that. It has me doing things differently.

I was also inspired by watching the Biggest Loser last night. Those contestants inspire me every week - just seeing all the work they do, and what they accomplish.

Who inspired you yesterday? Who ignited the Spark within?

My friend Naomi. She had her daughter when she was 15 years old, and that little girl is graduating from law school this May! Naomi is also going to be graduating with a degree in social work, and plans to go to graduate school. We just spoke and caught up yesterday, and I'm so incredibly impressed by her and thankful to have her in my life. She's overcome so many hurdles by never giving up...

Yesterday I was truly inspired by a friend Anthony. He was being confirmed last night and I was his sponsor as well as in charge of Confirmation. I spent the day worrying about a big zit on my cheek which had my eye almost swollen shut(turns out it is a bug bite). And then Anthony arrived with a smile and the news that he is going to begin battling cancer. Talk about inspiration and setting me straight on what is truly important!

I would say that Katmomma3 inspired me yesterday. At first I thought she was going into the hospital but come to find out, that was just a jest. But when she told me she was training for a 1/2 marathon and then learning how many steps she did, that really inspired me for today. The weather here in Ohio today is supposed to be in the upper 60s. Good walking weather. Good luck everyone!

My husband is my inspiration. I've been bummed out about getting off track due to a knee injury, and he has kept me motivated on doing what I can do to exercise. I've also fallen off track with eating--finding myself eating just to eat--and he's helping me become redirected.

But the one person on Spark who really motivates me in the exercise area---and this is definitely my weakest link---is KAANDR, a member of my state team. She exercises all the time. She is a quiet member, not often discussing things, but she does take this seriously.

I am inspired by kg possible. That girl has lost a ton of weight and she works out like a trooper. She and I became friends through spark and not only does she keep me straight on my diet but helps me through personal problems. I hope everyone can meet someone on spark that motivates them like she does me!

If you haven't got a smile on your face and laughter in your heart, then you are just a sour old fart!

The path to success is populated by many people who inspire you to greatness. It can be a passer-by on the street, it can be a family member. Your connection with them enables you both to be better than you are as separate individuals.

Who inspired you yesterday? Who ignited the Spark within?

yesterday was my boss - She is going through so much in her personal life and she worries about me and my diet.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

My main inspiration yesterday was MSWEEZER. We had an off-site discussion and she got the wheels moving regarding a very important aspect of my consulting business. She definitely Sparked me and it is still working this morning!

Thank you MSWEEZER!
