I am nearly half way to reaching my target and I have two weeks left I am feeling optimistic that the goal I have set myself is well within my grasp I just have to keep going. I am so happy as a few months ago I never thought I was able to get lower that 13stone and look at me now I am a few pounds away from 11 stone + I can't believe it. I have still have some way to reaching my goal but I am closer than I was before and that is great. Thanks for all your support.

This week I have been doing a challenge with my Tattooed Women team. I made it to the gym 4 times and stuck to my nutrition 5/7 days. I lost 1 lb. Feels good to go in the right direction and to make some of my healthy goals after the Thanksgiving eat-a-thon.

I, too, wish you luck. But I can't join you as I just lost 4 lbs. in the last week or so. Whenever I set a goal like that I get very frustrated because it just doesn't work for me. The strange thing is I was just trying to maintain for a while and actually had some extra calories and voila!, I lost 4 lbs. Keep us posted on your progress and what you are doing to lose. emoticon

I definitely wish you good luck!

4 kg is apparently about 8.8 pounds. That is a lot for one month!

You have the advantage of youth, though, which gives you a faster metabolism than this 45-year-old.

In your shoes, I would definitely ramp up the cardio (as opposed to taking the starvation route) and drink lots of water. You may retain it for the first week or so while you're building muscle, but it should drop before New Year's Eve.

If you go to the 'Start' page of SparkPeople and scroll down, you can reset 'My Goals' with your current ambition. It should help give you a target number of calories to consume.

Go for it!

Hi Guys,

I have just set myself a goal to lose 4kg by new years eve. It was originally going to be 5kg but I chickened out at the last moment.

I think 4kg is a good enough goal, though if I am to reach it I have to be strict with myself when I say that I don't mean starve myself (which is something I really can't do as I love my food too much) but I plan to eat healthy but also give myself the odd treat when I feel it has been deserved.

I am willing to check in each week to inform you of my progress as it will motivate me to continue. Wish me luck
