Night shifts were murder, I still haven't recovered totally. Last night I didn't get to sleep till well after 2 a.m. I stayed up late cooking for Thanksgiving on next thursday. I am have a big feast day here. Lots of traditional stuff...oink, oink, oink. I will try to behave cause it really feels good to lose. I totally agree that if we deprive ourselves of an item we end up craving it badly. We do have smaller packs but I try to steer clear completely cause I can't stop, indulge now and then, trying to keep my demon at bay. O, yes the scopy girls, we rock!!! I recently bought a kettle bell, thats an old school weight that is making a revival, haven't gotten into it yet. Soon! Keep plugging away, get the sexy on.

How was the shift Charie?
You were brilliant to get over the birthdays like that! 1.5 and 1.15 brilliant! It was mine too on the 10th....when is yours fellow scorpy lady?
I took the week off and put on a ridiculious amount. I'm determined to keep myself in line for Xmas though. I really want to hit the sales hard at the end of January. I want to lose 2" a dress size for then!

We call chips taytos or crisps. My sister is a demon for them.
Do they at least do small packs in the US? The big ones are lethal, you just can't stop once you've opened them.
My friend put herself off them by lighting one, and watching the amount of fat that dripped out.
Although I don't like antifat attitudes. I think alot of people could do with eating more good fats.
When I was eating alot of junk, it was because I was doing WW and that treats all fat as bad. I think my body tried to make up for something it was lacking, with the easiest available source.

I bought myself someweights for the birthday still haven't used them yet though......finger crossed I get my arse in gear this new week!

I haven't done too badly of late. I had a birthday (59, nearly an old geezer now) which created 2 separate evenings out, one to an all you can eat thing and then a high end restaurant. I ate a lot of salad at the all you can eat, and had a very non vegitarian STEAK at the restaurant. One piece of chocolate cake and a bottle of wine. Not terrible. I did continue to work out like a demon and managed to lose 1.5 lbs. In the last month I lost 1.15 inches around my waist...that's about 3 centimeters. I am trying my best to track the foods. I'm not a big sweets eater, more chips and french fries. OK chips in UK is french fries and I don't know what our chips equate too. I try to keep them out of sight. Sorry about the laptop, I tend to like my pc better than the laptop but switch them out depending on who is using the pc. I am off to nightshift for the next 2 days, painful.

Sorry Charie.
I missed that message. My Laptop blew up at some point then, and I'm using my first ever pc. It takes it a year and a day to do anything, and keeps disconnecting.
So after a few minutes online, I need to be restrained from cutting off my nose to spite my face. By taking a sledge hammer to it.

I'm terrible for eating all before me in the evenings if I'm bored.
I find if i can get a couple of days of eating clean, I'm good. But the more I eat like that, the more I have to. And then I feel crap from stodgy food.

Did you ever try banning yourself from the sweet treats. It is the only thing that works for me.
I have no willpower when it comes to moderation.

How are you keeping now?
It is almost 5 weeks till Xmas.
I'd be happy with 7lbs at this stage and my weight steady over the hols.
I'm tracking again, and I've just invested in a pair of dumbbells.

Almost forgot! Lol @ your dream.
Who knows they are talking about launching 15 euro each flights between the Us and Ireland.
Maybe it is a premonition. ;)

I would like to lose about 5 lbs for Xmas. With all the parties and everything that is going to be a task for me.

My dr. didn't really understand how much and for how long I have exercised. Also, she didn't get that when I exercise many of my aches and pains go away. Any how, I will do what I know to be best. Down falls...Eating....well, you name it and I will put it in my mouth. I ate a ton of sweets yesterday, 2 big parties at work, retiring boss and co-worker moving. The big downfall is eating when I get home from work latish..8p.m, I'm usually hungry and start cruising the cupboards. BAD! Anyway, I will again regroup and stick with a healthy plan and yes indeed, tracking keeps me honest. I do think I am going to eat more vegetarian, I feel better with less meat.

Hey Rhiannon, I had a goofy dream this week, you were here in the U.S. basically being viewed in a room. I popped in and said "hi, gotta run" and that was the end of it. Dreams....strange!

Don't go into anything you don't want to.
But did she have a reason for saying that?

Tracker is the only thing that will get me eating within range.
My Mam was giving out to me yesterday, for eating practically nothing.
I was 1000 calories out from target.

And that was eating at home. Can you imagine if I had to deal with the temptation outside.

I'm going to set myself a sparkpoint target for November. That really seems to keep me on the straight and narrow.

What are your downfalls?

Ice-cream is my biggest culprit.

I can't seem to get myself running right these days, eating stuff I shouldn't, not exercising. I went to the dr. the other day and she thought maybe I should back down on the exercising a bit. I don't want to but sort of did by default, I felt too lousy to hit the gym yesterday. Today I will do my regular routine.

Ohh I used to work a 4 cycle shift.
That is why I put on weight in the first place.
I used to try and stay away with energy drinks.
The canteen food was awful, but I never had the energy to make something for myself.
I got so ran down, I was grey all the time and my nails turned to mush.
I don't envy you one bit!

I'm with you on the wonderful new week though!
I'm going to fit in 30 minutes of cardio every day next week. :)

I have had a really horrible week frought with frustration and ill eating behavior. I will probably weigh in tommorrow a.m. and be aghast!!! I am working a night shift at this moment, which further trashes my nutrition. On a brighter side, tommorrow is the beginning to an entirely new and wonderful week to undo all the evils of this one!

Treating myself to a cup of fruit tea with a little lemon and honey, helps keep me from straying.
Just the ritual of doing something I enjoy.

You totally kick behind in the fitness stakes, You have to start putting manners on that tracker.
So that you reap all the benefits of that excercise.

I had a slip up today.
I weighed myself this morning and I'm up two lbs.
Did not take it well and tucked into the choclate.
Healthy chocolate with flavoinoids. Not good for weight loss though.Back on track tomorrow!

I started off great with my weight loss.
But for the last few months my way has been lost.
If your in the same boat, why not take up this challenge and give yourself a kickstart.

If your in state your goal, and check back in every week. :)

We have 9 weeks.

I'd like to lose a stone or 14lbs myself.
